Marlow White US Army Black Beret

Ordered for my son after the one he was issued in BCT was improperly fitted. (They measured him right, but the beret he was given was either mislabeled or the quality control didn't catch the huge size discrepancy - it was way smaller than anyone else's and was leaving a groove in his head and causing headaches when he had to wear it.)He said this one was a huge improvement - nicer quality, thicker wool - easier to shape and shave than the first. It's not quite uniform-ready straight out of the package, but it's nice to at least have a quality product to work with. He was very grateful for the upgrade.

This beret is not pre-shaved completely. I still had to use my razor for quite a bit to actually get it to the point where our NCOs accepted it.

Definitely not pre shaven, but better than the USGI berets. Also maintains shape better with a more resilient leather on the browband

Definitely not pre shaved. Just your standard beret. But if you need to order something quick, good buy. Just need you will need to shape and shave a bit before use.

Overall good product. This beret will need to be shaven despite the description saying it already is. I shaved mine 4 times during the shaping process. I listened to other reviews and purchased one size larger than my PC and it fit perfectly after wetting and shaping.

The note on the website that indicated you should order one size smaller what extremely helpful. It fits perfect!

This is the Beret made in China and not Korea. It is most definitely NOT shaved or pre-molded! It is not at all as advertised. That being said. It is still an official army beret but needs to be shaved, wet and molded to fit. I do not recommend buying. See your supply NCO and get one for free if in the Army. If not... Then you probably shouldn't be buying one anyways. Good luck out there!

This beret is definitely not pre-shaven. I only ordered this particualar beret because it said pre-shaven. I would return if I did not have to shave it.
