The unit works great and as advertised. The 'over the mirror' design doesn't clutter the dash or windshield. The mirror is innocuous and won't be tempting a criminal.My primary goal was the backup camera aspect more than the front view dash cam as I have no integrated backup camera in my car. However, I am glad that this device provides both. The mirror powers up pretty fast and ready to use when you start the car.The higher resolution really is a plus on the front camera compared to many others in this price range. You can actually read the license plates when you review the videos. Also the 5" image is worth it and I would not go smaller.The touchscreen is a welcome addition to the Mirror Dashcam. The buttons on the bottom are not obvious by the etched labels on the mirror.I initially had an issue by using an older SD card that I had lying around. Many of the videos files were corrupt. Make sure you purchase an SD card that is more than just class 10 and allows many writes.I have a homelink mirror and the built in buttons for garage door opener that are now inaccessible. Not sure you can do much about that if you want an over the mirror design. I had to return to using the remote from the garage door attached to the visor.Running the cable for the rear camera may not be a simple task for some. Took up most of the day. My license is on the trunk lid and had to off center the camera to avoid the trunk latch switch. Hard to route on my vehicle and fish thru areas. Needed to also drill thru the rear dash to run the cable. Luckily the rear camera cable comes with at connector several feet from the camera to do the work.

I have used the M511 in the past, and recently acquired the M532, the product evolution is really good, the touchscreen setup is great, and the overall performance of the unit is great. This is a great solution for protecting yourself from the Road Rage Idiots out there and documenting things that happen. Overall A+++ Point at the camera, the morons usually get a change of attitude, especially if they go to the Facebook page or YouTube viral areas. :)Update 3/6/18: The measure of a good organization is "after sale support". Minor problem with the rear camera, worked with support to narrow down the issue, they were responsive and worked quickly to resolve. The new camera is in, all is working as it is supposed to now, and very happy. Will continue to use these products in the future.

First off, let me start by saying that I’ve put off buying this dash cam for months because I was researching multiple similar design models as well as cheap knock-offs. I’m happy to say that I ended up making the right decision by choosing this Smarture model.I like how the screen is much larger than other models of the same design as well as how invisible it is when it’s off. I also like how sensitive the touch screen is. It feels expensive and well made. The camera quality itself is very clear during the day and quite good at night. One improvement that can be made is with the microphone as I’ve noticed that playback is hard to hear. Besides that I really have no complaints. Sometimes though the screen turns on by itself while driving but that doesn’t really bother me.

I bought the M511 last year and was extremely happy about it. I have three dash cams and the M511 has the best quality. I just bought the new M532. So far this new model is better than the 511. The mirror is sharper. The touch screen is very easy to use. The recorded video quality is better than the 511. I can see license plate number of cars in front of me in the recording even at night time. Smarture customer service is very good. I have to contact them a few times regarding differences between the two models. They responded promptly and are very helpful. So far I’m very happy with this purchase.

Great dash cam mirror, by far the most clearest and brightest mirror I've used. The mirror overlays on my Lexus rear view mirror and the glass is actually brighter and more vibrant then my stock one. Helps out a lot when my windows are all tinted. Highly recommend. Would definitely buy again
