It works but needs bettter instruction
I used it with a bicycle pump and did not realize how much back pressure it would produce. May have pushed too hard with a metal rod to try to get what I thought was the "flap valve in the buoy" unstuck. A note on this part about avoiding that mistake would have complemented the included note telling the user to "push on the flap valve because it might be glued shut". I can't imagine why this adapter is not provided with buoy. Virtually all its cost is in the shipping.

Made it easy
This little thing made it so easy to fill up my bumpers. It will fit into any pump that has a Schrader size. Just put it in your pump and lock it in just as if you were filling up a bike tire. You just hold it in the Fill hole of the bumper & with just a little bit of pressure and fill it up.

The little lifesaver
This small and inexpensive piece fit my fenders inflation port perfectly and (with the aid of a bicycle pump) restored the fenders performance like-new.

You may not need it
I bought this for my Polyform buoys as I did not know exactly how the inflator valves were constructed. However, if you have an air compressor with an inflator kit, and the kit includes a rubber-tipped cone, you don't need this. It's too much of a bother to return. I'll add it to my inflator kit in the event I lose the rubber cone.

Inflation adapter
Bought an A-1 Buoy and would have had a bear of a time inflating it if not for this product. Very inexpensive but worth every cent and then some.

Waste of money
When I bought my Polyform A2 buoy, I was surprised to see that there was no air valve inllet which which would act as a "check valve". Trying to pull an air nozzle tip out and then try to thread in a plastic plug will inherently allow many psi to escape while trying to pull the nozzle & install plug.I thought this fitting was going to act as a "check valve" like a needle valve fitting on a football or basketball. Nope. You still need to spin it out and replace with a plug...allowing full psi to drop during that process.Polyform should tell their Engineers to "think like the customer".PS Buoy gets an A+ for everything EXCEPT the fill valve....that part they get an "F".

I have a Polyform A-1 11X15 inch Buoy. i bought this adaptor to inflate it . Basically it doesn't fit. The screw thread fits in to the hose on the air pump but the fat end does not fit securely in the inflation hole on the Buoy. Therefore NO INFLATION! however the adaptor for my electric pump in the car works perfectly! Wish I'd have tried that first!
