Does the job, good for the price
I put this item together today and have to say I am enjoying it for the price.Pro:-Easy to put together-Seems to be sturdy (have not had a drop like another reviewer however)-Fits snugly once together but has enough wiggle room while putting it together to make it easy-I liked the contact paper on it, was easy to pull off and guaranteed no scratches during shipping-All the cutouts are well placed for the Raspberry Pi B+ and all hardware was included (including a small screwdriver and a few extra screws/nuts)Cons:-I read another reviewer had clips snap during construction, I tried to be careful but two still snapped off and one is currently cracked. Since there is some give I would recommend doing one side at a time by pulling the long sides slightly apart instead of trying to bump the small side over the nubs (puts less stress on the clips). They are all cracked/snapped in the same place so it is a design issue imo. I currently have super glue setting to see if this will solve the issue.-I couldn't screw one of the nuts onto the board because of the tight squeeze (and I have small fingers). I could get the other 3 on and it seems to be sturdy so it's not a huge problem in my opinion. This isn't really the company's fault to be honest since that is where the mount holes are but I thought I would list it anyway.I will have to wait to see how the fan holds up, this Pi is going in a server room to act as a NAS and will be on 24/7.

It snapped together easy enough, but I didn't like the way it ...
I bought this for my raspberry pi 3. It snapped together easy enough, but I didn't like the way it fit over the top of my raspberry hdmi and usb connectors - just a little too snug. I drilled out some space above the hdmi, but left the usb alone for now, if I need the the top 2 connectors I might do a little more drilling. I can plug into the top usb connectors, but I'm wondering if I'm flexing the board. This cover might be good for 1 or 2 raspberry pi's - but if you feel compelled to to provide more space for the connectors like I did you could find the drilling annoying. But I will say I like having the fan for it. Give a little more space for the connectors I mentioned and you could have a 5 star product!

Outstanding Pi case with fan
Quick shipping, good packaging. This case is relatively simple to put together by looking at the product images (no instructions provided).I'll echo a couple previous reviewers in saying that a couple areas are particularly fragile. I wound up with one cracked piece when finally assembled. That said, I assembled and reassembled this thing several times before getting it right. A little finess and attention to the Amazon product images, and you'll be fine.Using said images, I wired the fan up and it immediately worked when I plugged in the Pi. Bonus points to JBtek for including a couple extra screws and washers, as they're small and easy to lose.Once assembled, the case is fairly solid for a laser-cut plastic case. The fan attaches securely with screws. I would absolutely purchase this product again. I only docked them a star on this review for the cracked piece upon assembly. More concise assembly instructions would help avoid this issue without the need to change the design.

The fan failed in 6 months.
As I expected, the fan didn't last long. I leave this device running 24/7, but I still held on a little more hope that I would last a bit longer. The fan lasted maybe 6 months. The case wasn't a blast to assemble. I don't think any instructions were included. It wasn't difficult, but a little frustrating. I expected the fan to be loud after reading other reviews. They aren't kidding. It's a bit obnoxious in a dead silent room. It isn't that noticeable while watching TV at moderate volume. All in all, I don't think I'd buy it again. The Pi gets warm, but I can't say this is the best solution. I've removed the fan for now. I don't know that it made a huge difference after I added a few heat sinks.

excellent price for package deal
I ordered two of these cases with fans and use them on my PI 3 boards. They do not have any instructions included in the order, so remember to look at the little pictures on the side of the amazon web page for this item. It was not difficult to assemble, even with my large fingers. Just take your time and remember that the parts are brittle plastic. I'm glad that these are snap together and can be taken apart and reassembled if needed. The fans are high speed and do a good job moving the warm air out of the case. They do have a hum, but so does every fan in my house. The ceiling fans all make more noise than this little fan.

Annoying assembly, slick looking, loud fan followed by dead fan.
Case is a bit of a chore to put together, each plastic piece is double covered in paper on both sides you have to peel off, then each piece sort of slide/clips into one another in a way that it's squirly until you get every piece into place. Once you get it together it does look slick. Then there's the fan. It started sounding rough within the first three days of use, and when I sat down to write this review and complain about the fan, I noticed the fan noise is gone. Oh, that's because it's dead. Neat.I'm not really surprised, it's a cheap, un-branded sleeve fan. Still disappointing.

For the price, you can do a lot better.
I'm not one to leave really negative reviews. Here's my problems with this:1. The first few pictures are of the item assembled. They do not mention this very clearly in the item listing IMO.2. The plastic is brittle and easily breaks. One other reviewer even mentioned that s/he dropped it from a few feet onto carpet and it broke. I was putting it together and it snapped.3. The packaging has 0 instructions. I had to play detective to figure out how this thing goes together. What a mess.4. The pieces had a paper covering on them that took a fair bit of careful peeling to get off. Again, more time wasted.I returned mine. You're probably saying: for the price it's a good deal? Trust me, you can do a lot better for the same price. Check CanaKit or Adafruit (also on amazon).
