This 2000mL, 120VAC HM spherical heating mantle has a zipper that fastens the upper and lower halves together. It is ideal for use with a basket ring stand to preventing vapor condensation in the upper half of a flask while also heating the lower portion of the flask. The opening holds 1,2, or 3-neck flasks on a ring stand. It applies full coverage, uniform heat to round-bottom flasks with a low-watt density utilizing a knitted and braided heating element with a multi-stranded resistance wire for increased durability and flexibility. It has a pre-molded fiberglass liner with wool and ceramic insulation, covered by a fiberglass cloth outer shell. Useful for temperatures up to 842°F (450°C). This 120VAC model includes a 3in (76mm) lead wire with a NEMA L1-15R connector and a 4ft (1.2m) power adaptor cord with a NEMA 1-15 plug. Requires temperature controller (sold separately).
