I got this camera to connect to my mini PC for a project. It detects easily and produces clear and sharp images. it can be used as a webcam but I use it for my home monitoring project.This camera produces very good quality video. It looks quite nice, and works as I had hoped. It is a bit challenging to change the camera settings, but once you get it working it seems to be fine.

What a great webcam. Biggest takeaway from me is that it is plug and play, but if you want to configure more you’ll need a better webcam program. I used OBS Studio to test out the 8000X6000 resolution. Keep in mind this only runs at 5 frames per second. 4000X3000 is at 15 FPS, but 3840X2160 (4K) runs at 30FPS and is very smooth. This is a very high quality webcam, but if you’re going take images at the highest resolutions they will need to be just images,video is not ideal.4K video is very smooth and works well. I’m using a 1080p monitor so I don’t see the difference between 4K and 1080P but It is likely there on a 4K panel. This is a great little webcam with a terrific aluminum housing, making sure it is durable. I’m a big fan of this webcam and if you need the extra resolution it’s for you. If you’re looking for a webcam for business that has a microphone and all, this may not be for you. This camera delivers great quality video (though at the maximum resolution, you have to trade off frame rate vs. compression quality)The autofocus lens works well, adapting quickly to objects from about 12 inches to infinity.Works on Linux as a standard uvc device, and doesn't even require any oddball configs to get it going. Also works out of the box on Windows. Haven't tried Mac.It does run a little uncomfortably warm after it's been on for a while, but doesn't seem to cause a problem.

As a camera, it works extremely well; the auto-focus is a handy feature, and the bokeh effect provides a professional visual.Additionally, the video is sharp, and the colors are accurately represented.Although the camera does heat up relatively quickly, attempting to utilize the highest available quality greatly reduces your framerate to an unusable extent, and you don't quite get the features you would expect from other products in its range.Overall, it's a decent camera, but it unfortunately doesn't deliver in a feature-rich way, and the heating issue could become an inconvenience.
