I bought this after purchasing a raspberry pi 5, but then did not have a micro HDMI lead or adaptor to use the pi. I purchased this splitter together with a HDMI micro to standard HDMI, as my display is a monitor without audio. This unit separates the audio with either the option of optical output or a 3.5mm jack, and you also get a phono to 3.5 plug lead as well. It works well and does what it should do. Have not used the optical output but the 3.5mm socket is about as universal as you could get and I have it plugged into a JBL speaker. Very pleased with it.

Bought this and it doesn’t work. Shoddy build quality, if I plug it in, it comes on for a few mins at a time if I’m lucky. If I move the device it goes off immediately. Sometimes the sound goes crazy as well.

It works. Purchased this so that I could have the Audio output from my PS5 go to my Audient ID14 audio interface and output to my Studio Monitors using the optical output.Worked with no issues. Just had to set optical input on the Audient ID14 at the correct sample rate on the software on my PC then select HDMI audio on the PS5.It didn't affect the resolution or frame rate on PS5 either, although I had to manually select the correct resolution as it was automatically selecting 1080p instead of 1440p on my monitor.

Work as advertised mixing a DVI output and digital sound output into a HDMI output. It was easy to setup and we are very happy with it.

It worked exactly like I needed it too, use video from a camera and audio from a soundboard to run a TV to our nursery in our church.
