StensOEM Carburetor Kit 615-522 for Zama RB-71

If your carb needs cleaning you need this kit.
This is a perfect replacement for the OEM soft parts that you need to replace whenever you disassemble the Zama carb on an Echo powered engine. Price is right, service was fast, quality was good. The only reason i did not give it five stars is it comes with no instructions whatsoever and it is very easy to get the carb reassembled wrong. For a proper job you will also need a base gasket--not in the kit and a primer bulb--also not in the kit.

Worked perfect... Mantis runs great now
If your small 2 stroke motor is not runnning right not a whole lot can be wrong wit it. I figured it was the carb on my Mantis roto tiller and bought this carb kit. Today 400 square feet were tilled with no problems.. a total of 1000 sq feet this month

Nice kit, great price.
Kit is complete and works well. You have to be very, very thorough when cleaning the carburetor body and plastic diaphragm that attaches to the carburetor. All gumming of fuel must be cleaned. I recommend soaking the parts in diesel fuel/kerosene for at least 24 hours prior to reassembly. Then use carburetor cleaner very liberally, and finally a thorough cleanup with an air nozzle. If you have carefully conducted the rebuild and also replaced/verified that ALL fuel lines are completely intact and the rubber grommet that seals the lines through the gas tank is performing its job, and you're frustrated because you still have an issue with spitting/spuddering/not idling, then you have an issue with the air/fuel screw adjustments. If you have the little plastic caps on the air/fuel screw that limit their travel and cannot get good performance within the bounds of those caps, they will have to be removed. From there you are only a few test runs away from having it dialed in to perfection. This will bring almost all chainsaws, weedeaters, tillers equipped with this carb/variations of this carb back to life

Package did not have instructions
Package did not have instructions which made it very hard to disassemble and reassemble. all the required items were in the package but I had to call the local dealer & he ask why didn't purchase from him.

Good kit
This is a good kit, but some carbs can't be fixed, like the one on my Mantis tiller. If you have the same model carb and a good cleaning doesn't fix it, you're probably better off buying a new C1U-K54A.

This kit PLUS some downloaded instructions might fix YOUR problem too
Have a Mantis 7225 tiller w/ a Zama C1U-K82 carb. Would not start and stay running anymore. Went to the ZamaCarb website and found a .pdf Technical Guide[I had a link, BUT it seems to have been deleted from my review!] Printed, read, studied and diagnosed. Instead of buying a new carb, I thought I would try the kit first. Bought and installed this carb kit, readjusted the needles (about 1 turn out on the LO and 1 1/2 on the HI) and now starts and runs like it always did once again. This carb kit does not contain any instructions so you really need the info from the Zama site to help you along.

Worked great for my Echo powered Mantis Tiller
I purchased this for a 15+ year old Mantis Tiller model 7222M. Even though I take very good care of my equipment and winterize accordingly, this spring my tiller would not run. I ordered this carb kit. I googled an exploded diagram of the carb because there were no included instructions, only parts - which is ok by me because I paid $8.95 including shipping and it came in 2 days. I grabbed a beer and set in to repair it. Forty minutes and 3 beers later it was running again. I was a little disappointed that it didn't take longer.

Did not have the correct gaskets had buy another kit ...
Did not have the correct gaskets had buy another kit in town but it too was missing a spring and needle. Between the two kits I have enough to complete the job.
