A good no frills guide. The illustrations are clear and the text straightforward. Good for beginners and those with some experience.

Poor detail; save your money.
Not what I expected. I thought the hand drawn rigs and knots would be of a higher quality and greater detail; not the case here. Very low grade, crude drawings that poorly illustrate what is attempting to be conveyed. The rigs suggest they do have merit though, I have not attempted use of any except in freshwater. Those that I've tried worked for catfish and freshwater drum; extreme basics in comparison actually produced more fish. Thumb through Google and a person will get further for their effort. Save the money for bait.

WHAT I NEED'D TO KNOW WAS NOT EVEN LISTED IN THE BOOK! PLACEMENT OF HOOK TO SINKER, A STANDER SET UP FOR BOTTOM FISHING OFF SHORE.

Easy understanding. Detailed.
Beautifully written and illustrated. Don't let this one get away from you. Don't let the title fool you. There's lots of fresh water info in this book. This is a book for new and old fishermen (and women). I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

Highly disappointing. Numerous typos, often confusing diagrams, poorly written and generally lousy. As another reviewer said, save your money.
