I was planning a holiday/ trip to Central Asia and this book helped me to choose the places not to miss . It had valuable information about literally everything I needed for my trip . A great help and source of information.

Just about the only travel guide to the Stans

This is probably the best guide to the countries of Central Asia as there aren't many available. Found it very useful on a recent trip to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Great detail and well researched. Not easy to cover these five countries and Lonely Planet has done a fine job.
