Well worth the cost
Wow, professional tool that yields amazing results. I tried the cheaper ones and they were horrible. They required too much pressure and often just shattered the glass. This Leponitti tool is fantastic. Cutting glass is quick and easy. I haven't used them on tile but I had some beautiful glass that was in large pieces. I didn't want to ruin it and I am so glad I waited until I had this tool. I was able to cut my glass in the desired shapes with little or no effort. Thanks for a great tool.

The best I have used
I teach a mosaics class and have had an opportunity to compare a variety of wheeled tile nippers. This brand is definitely more comfortable and effective and easier to use than the others out there.

Great Cutters for Glass and Tile
These cutters were recommended by a mosaic instructor. These are fabulous. I own a cheaper version, different brand of tile cutters and found those to be absolutely worthless. The Leponitt tile cutters work on art glass quite well. I expect to get a lot of use out of them.

innaccurate description, nasty seller
These are probably fine for cutting 1/8" glass, but the description says they can cut 'as thin as 1/32". Not true. The opening is 3/32" when closed as far as they will go, much too wide for the purpose I bought them for. I can see no adjustment to make them cut closer. I can't say if that is the manufacturers description or theirs, but it doesn't matter to me, it simply doesn't work as advertised.I tried to return them and this seller had an attitude I have never seen here from any other seller. The initial response was 'I've sold hundreds of these and never had a single complaint', as opposed to "I'm sorry they're not working for you, what seems to be the problem, perhaps I can help'.Maybe this is the new normal, but it hasn't been my experience, especially here at Amazon. Sellers have always been eager, willing and knowledgeable in straightening out any problems, although I have had very few over hundreds of purchases here on Amazon. They then informed me that they would take them back, but not pay the postage either way. Excuse me, when you sell a product that doesn't meet the advertised specifications, you are responsible to pay postage both ways. Even after telling her that she might ask what the problem was, she didn't. Her attitude was not "if there's a problem with my listing I'd like to correct it', but 'there is no problem, the problem is you'. After a few emails, she stated 'I am completely wrong, anything you want I will do'. Extremely sarcastic. To this day, she has no idea what my problem was because she couldn't be bothered to ask.Rather than to deal with them any further, I decided I would just chalk it up to experience.Needless to say, I will not be doing business with them again. I would suggest that you consider my experience before ordering from them.

Great tool for glass
I use this cutter to cut out fine china plates and glass tiles that I include in mosaics. The tool is really easy to use. I don't have much strength in my hands and wrists, therefore this tool is perfect as I don't have to exercise much pressure to cut. It cuts glass and china like a charm. It's especially handy when cuting out designs from high-fire china plates that are too hard to cut with a regular nipping tool. The Leponitt should be used with glass and glasslike material only. In order to cut neatly, you need to score first, then start cutting bit by bit. This way, round cuts are as easy as straight ones. But trying to cut a piece in one shot will not work (or work too much!). I would have given the tool 5 stars if it was not for an annoying little detail: on mine, one of the wheels keeps getting loose and needs to be retightened constantly with the special wrench (sold with the tool). I hope that this minor defect can get corrected by the manufacturer. Other than that, it's really a great tool.

I'm happy!
I don't often leave reviews, but I am excited about these wheeled nippers and wanted to share with others.I have been using an inferior product, getting really frustrated at times. I knew there had to be something better - and there is!!These wheeled nippers/tile cutters are excellent!!!I am a 75 year old woman with small hands, and I just cut up several plates for mosaics with very little effort and my hand is not tired at all. With the other nippers, by the time I would finish, my hand would begin to ache.Thinking I may need to go ahead and by a spare pair of these Leponitt tile cutters, because I don't want to ever be without them again.

I use these for stained glass work where I need ...
I use these for stained glass work where I need to quickly hog out chunks of glass from curved cuts, and smaller precise cuts when removing the bulk of a concave cut. They work perfectly for both.
