Although not as bright as a standard incandescent light, this thing will light up a large area. Other than in the dead of winter, a full day time charge (even when cloudy) will provide light until morning.

Great strong light as long as you live in a sunny State...as with any solar.

The light itself is great! I put 2 by my pool and the light is bright and perfect for outdoor with no power.I gave it a 4 because the remote is hard to work- I have to point it and repeatedly push the button to get the light turned off.

I ordered this light to light up part of my back yard where I have a swimming pool. I planned on installing it up high on the side of my house but wanted something reliable since it wouldn't be easy to access. Prior to installing I decided to thoroughly test the light to make sure it worked. I connected the solar panel to the light to charge the internal battery and let it sit outside for a couple of days. This light comes with a remote, which was one of the features I was looking for, and I was able to turn the light on and off with the remote a few times until I start noticing that sometimes it doesn't want to turn off and sometimes it wont turn on. There are times that I had to push the "off" button 15-20 times before the light would turn off which was really frustrating. As part of my troubleshooting, I replaced the cheap batteries that came with the remote with new and better batteries which didn't make a difference. I worked with the seller who is clearly in China and didn't fully understand my issue and recommended that I charge the battery in the light with a different charger (not the solar panel) to see if that would work. I don't want to be having these issues with a brand new product, so I am returning the product and will likely install a wired light instead of solar powered.Overall the quality of the product was just ok, I'm not sure its any better than those that are half the price. Cheap Chinese casting and LED's which may be adequate for some people but for 70 bucks I was hoping it was a little better than the cheaper ones on here. It put out a decent amount of light for being solar powered, but nothing spectacular. I was planning on putting some silicone around the glass and any other potential leak points to ensure I don't get water in it since alot of the other similar lights on Amazon that claim they are water proof or water resistant really aren't.
