Seem to work as well as OEM; capacity is suspect as with most knock-offs
We have a couple of Ryobi 18V yard tools, a small leaf blower and string trimmer. Their OEM batteries had finally given up the ghost and wouldn't charge or hold a charge. I thought I'd give these a try. They charge up fine with the OEM charger and work as expected in the tools. As with most imported knock-offs, the claimed 3800mAH is suspect, but I expect that going in. I'm not going to great lengths to hook one up to my electronic load, or open it up to test individual cells, unless I see an obvious shortage of capacity. They are quite a bit cheaper than OEM batteries, and they do seem to hold up to normal yard use so far. If my opinion significantly changes, I'll update my review.

Work in my tools and both regular and 3rd party chargers, capacity is a serious question
I charged both batteries in different OEM and 3rd party chargers without issue. I was also able to run them in different ryobi tools and the power under load seemed okay. The OEM battery weighs 15.06 ounces and declares its capacity as 2Ah and 37WhThese batteries weighed 13.61 and 13.63 ounces respectively (10% less) and declare that they are 3800 mah and 68.4 Wh which would be almost double the capacity of the OEM battery.Either the 3rd party manufacturer used some really exotic materials to beat out the OEM so badly, or they are lying on the assumption that no one will run a capacity test, and or they just don't care and assume people will jump at the "price" versus the actual "value". Hey, 2 batteries have to be better than one right?Personally I won't be acquiring any more of them.

works as described
These work as described with my Ryobi tools. However, they would not charge in one of my Ryobi OEM chargers. It went right to defect red light blinking fast. I tried another Ryobi Charger, and it worked fine. I also tried it on my neighbor's charger, which is an OEM charger, and it did not work.If you have one of the newer chargers, I think this will work fine, but if it's an older charger, it may not.I gave it four stars just because of the charging issue.

Great replacement battery for Ryobi
The Powtree upgraded lithium battery seems to be a solid backup solution to my aging original Ryobi batteries. Both of them arrived in great shape and I topped off their charge in less than 30 minutes. The batteries do not come with a charger, but I found the standard Ryobi charger works just fine with these. What I really like is that they have a battery charge indicator. Just press the button and you can see how much power is left. Original Ryobi batteries lack this nice touch. I am using these replacement batteries on a Ryobi vacuum and also some power drills. A couple of my original Ryobi batteries have died and I am hoping these lesser quality ones work enough to keep me up and running. I have found that this has been true so far. They work pretty well and I am hopeful they give me a few good years of run time.

Comparable To Other Non-OEM Ryobi Batteries
With a home shop full of Ryobi 18V tools, I also have numerous OEM and 3rd party batteries for them. Most of the 3rd party batteries have performed well.I tested these on several Ryobi branded chargers, and they immediately began charging on all of the chargers except for one they would not communicate with... and that may be an issue with the charger.Charging time is about the same as similar capacity OEM batteries and run time also compares favorably. I tested one with my handheld vac and the other with my hedge trimmer and both worked fine.It is obviously too soon to know about longevity, but for two batteries, this is a nice value.
