Action packed !!
I enjoyed Daniel Silva's new series with Michael Osborne. Lots of action and intrigue with familiar Characters from the Gabriel Allon series. Can't wait for book 2!!

mark of the Assassin
Thoroughly enjoyed the book. Although a work of fiction could see this happening. There are so many greedy people around. The different plots had me reading without stopping.Looking forward to reading the next book.

Daniel Silva does it again
I was so distraught when I finished all the Gabriel Allon series and delighted to find some more Silva. He is such a great writer, and especially during these fraught times I need guilt-free distractions. I get great page turning mysteries and learn so much as well, with all of Silva's books. In the Mark of the Assassinwe meet a new quite likeable and not really flawed at all protagonist, Michael Osbourne. He works for the CIA. His wife is a DC lawyer and daughter of a powerful former Senator. I almost didn't read the book because the prologue was so extremely violent, but my curiosity prevailed and I am so glad I continued. Typical Silva, great writing, great rounded characters, great mysteries, rampant and frightening corruption and evil in the government. Loved it. my favorite author
I’ve read the Gabriel Allon books several times each over the years—as they came out. But never read his first 2 non-Gabriel books. I didn’t want to cheat on Gabriel and Ari. Having read through the Allon books, in order, for the 7th time (purchased from Amazon, on an iPad Kindle app- instead of the hardcover books that I already own), I couldn’t bear to pick up another author. I finally read Mark of the Assassin and am now moments away from The Marching Season. Mr. Silva does not disappoint. EVER. Really. It’s hard to read another author after finishing up a Silva book. The cadence of his writing draws me in and soothes me. Even if the subject matter is upsetting or scary.I recently heard that a lot of people re-read books or re-watched TV shows or movies that they already loved—during Covid. It’s a ‘thing.’ A comfort. I’ve actually always done that. I think you get something new from a book or movie each time you read/watch it. Why not get the most out of something you love? Every morsel of entertainment and of genius. So satisfying. I just watched Justified -the brilliant TV show-for a 6th time and it was my favorite viewing!! 🤪I adored Silva long before Covid. But, I couldn’t have gotten through Covid quarantine without him. I love him.

Great story
I enjoyed the characters as only Mr Silva can create! He does not disappoint, and he even leaves a small door open for a book II.

Slowly Mesmerizing!!
I wasn't sure this was really Silva, or that he could write without Alon. To my surprise the tension mounted and again I was transported via Daniel's imagination to a world of his creation. A very enjoyable read!

Another great read from the master storyteller. Draws you into the world of the people that work in the shadows. I loved it.

An Oldie but Goodie
This is the second book that Daniel Silva wrote. This is before the series starring the Israeli spy. The writing seems a little more careful, and the story is compelling. An oldie but goodie.

Ok read
An ok book. Well writen. A few gruesome deaths. The hero is a good man with a needy wife, which i don't like much, as a woman. I prefer strong women, on the good guys side, not only as vilains. A little too slow for me. I wasn't that much interested in the characters fate. Not a good sign. Easy to read. But not a lot of suspens, in my opinion.
