I'm using this indoors, mounted in the wall.The display segments are not evenly illuminated, but it's easy enough to read from across the room.For the price I think it's a good value.

I wasn't expecting much when I bought this battery meter, I mean it was cheap. The thing weighs not much more than a nickel. There isn't much craftsmanship involved here. I hooked it up and it didn't even come on or do anything. I'm a pretty mechanically inclined guy and connecting this thing is pretty basic, it just doesn't work. If RV/boat shops had quarter machines for adults in there store, then I can see opening one of those plastic eggs/containers and pulling out this. It seems to be a novelty item, nothing really useful or dependable, even if it does come on.

Does a good job of showing voltage two digits before the "dot." Does not show tenths. Might be because it is on an outboard motor electrical circuit. Hard to see in sunlight.

I installed this in my RV so I could see the exact voltage without having to bring my meter out to the battery. The factory indoor full, 2/3, 1/3, low indications are near worthless. Worked great. Very low current drain (I keep it on all the time) and perfect brightness for indoor use. It appears to be within +/- .1 V accurate.

This is exactly what I was looking for, I wanted a read out of my batteries condition in my fish house, one that I could mount in the side of the bench
