Worked really well. Not as great as a premium manufacturer but I no longer work that side of the industry. I just need to make a smoker.

Do not purchase this tool. The only feature of this centering gauge that works as advertised is the magnetic properties. Everything else about it is awful. First of all, the punch tip mushroomed after two strikes, which went from a tight, pointed dimple. to something that looks like one of the centering dimples done with a hand punch. Secondly, there is nothing to keep the punch from falling out of the gauge, so it always ends up at the bottom of my toolbox. Next, the dial holding the bubble has difficulty staying true. There is no way to tighten the dial indicator, so every time you strike a mark, the dial moves and must be reset before striking a second mark. Finally, the dial is so loose that it is easily moved from the required angle by simply brushing your finger against it while trying to recenter the punch. My advice would be to save your money and buy a functional centering gauge. The magnetic value is nice, but don't be fooled into purchasing this one like I was byt thinking they are all the same.,
