Great Lock
I wanted a lock that had key access, fingerprint, and keypad access, along with app capabilities. These locks checked all those boxes. They are built well, install was easy, and functionality is great. They look great, and are great quality.

Love the concept but it falls short on execution.
Let me tart by saying this a well built lock. The idea that you a leave your house if you aren’t driving with no keys is a great thing and I’ve really loved that freedom. With that said, there are couple things that I find frustrating with this lock.First thing is the keypad. The buttons are too small. It’s trying to hard to mimic a phone keypad with smaller, circular buttons when it should probably be larger square buttons. The keypad itself is a small footprint when it probably doesn’t need to be. It could be larger to accommodate larger buttons which would still look nice. The buttons are also flush with the keypad. This means there isn’t much give when pressing them. It would be a nicer feedback if the buttons had some height to them so you got some type of feedback when pressing them. The button illumination is also just the number and not an outline of the button itself which would be helpful especially when you are looking down at the keypad in the dark. You might ask why use the keypad when there is a fingerprint reader and you would correct. I don’t use the keypad often because of the fingerprint reader but temper your expectations. The fingerprint reader just isn’t very good or on a level that you may be used to with your phone or computer. You can only use one finger. It would be nice to be able to use multiple fingers depending on what you may holding when getting the door but that’s not an option. The other problem is it’s just not a great experience. Like the keypad buttons, the fingerprint reader is small. It often takes multiple attempts to get it to work which kind of defeats the time you think you might save by using a fingerprint reader. I also regularly max out attempts trying get in because it’s not a very good reader. This isi frustrating if you are holding groceries or whatever and you have to pull out your phone and use the app to unlock it. I think a bigger button with a larger reader would help alleviate these issues.Installation is straightforward and easy. I do appreciate the longer battery life from Bluetooth. I used HomeKit and it works great with that. I don’t see any advantage to WiFi here if your locks can be reached with the homekit hub. I can remotely lock and unlock the doors from anywhere. I certainly love not having house keys any more and I don’t plan on ever going back to that. I would consider upgrading if they ever came out with a redesign that improved on the issues that have bothered me.

Convenient and Security
Bang for my buck. got this one a good deal. Fingerprint is very convenient and slick. I can integrate it with my home assistant which makes it easier for me to control it ans automate ir. two thumbs up!

Good, but doorsense option is sketchy.
Works pretty well. I don't trust the "doorsense" option though. It got off-sync and caused all sorts of issues. I've read it has happened to others. I just wish it had zigbee support.

Great smart lock with fingerprint and actual buttons!
Was looking for a smart lock that has finger print AND real buttons and this fit the bill perfectly, I didn't get the wifi version as I was hoping they would release the matter module soon, which is another great future as it allows upgrades as smart home systems improve. One thing to be aware of, which did not impact my review as amazon immediately replaced it, was that my first order was obviously used, so just ensure that all the parts are still sealed before installing.

No lo puedo configurar
Es imposible configurar esta cerradura, llevo dos meses tratando de hacerlo. Contacté a soporte de Yale y no he tenido respuesta. La configuración no sirve vía la aplicación y se termina teniendo una cerradura normal.

Complete Installation Difficulty
How this lock will work now that we FINALLY got it completely installed, is unknown. Received this today and had it professionally installed by a locksmith with more than 15 yrs experience. He didn't have any problems getting it physically installed, but getting it working was VERY frustrating! It can't be set up without installing the app, creating an account, etc. and that process was not easy. I had some difficulty even getting the account set up and recognizing the lock. It took many tries. First issue was getting a message saying my bluetooth was not turned on, which it actually WAS. Even turned off phone, trying to get it to work. After a bit, I was able to lock and unlock using my phone. However, I don't want to regularly do that - my preference is for one touch (on the keypad) locking and pressing the keypad with a code to unlock it. That was the biggest headache. I input a 4 digit code (pg. 34 of the instruction booklet says 4-8 digits are needed). I kept getting error messages on the phone and when we tried different things on the keypad, it would seize up and we would have to wait in order to do anything. I was finally at the end of my rope, cursing the thing, and asked the locksmith to remove it and put put my old lock back one and later have him bring a lock he had confidence in. My husband decided to just try one more time to set up an 8 digit code, and that worked. He didn't do anything different from all the previous tries except the length of the code. There was no message while trying to "save" the code that more digits were needed, and as I already noted, the instructions read that 4-8 digits are needed. Not only was it frustrating to get it working, but also costed us additional money for the tech to be there with us, trying to figure out why it wasn't working. Not sure if perhaps this lock is "not quite right" or if the instructions are not correct. Regardless, I'm currently not a fan and knowing what I know now, I would not order another of these locks.
