KUTA KRAFT Bow Drill Set

Still haven't been able to start a fire with this kit. String broke, and there was no ember catcher as pictured, and the bow is too stiff to be at all effective. When I finally set a new cord and set the length just right, I was able to get some friction going but no ember.

Spindle snapped in half the first time I used it, which wasn’t a surprise, it and the fireboard were both riddled with cracks. The there was no ember catcher as pictured, and the bow is too stiff to be at all effective. You have to get the string tied at JUST the right length and then use your finger on the string to hold it tight enough to turn the spindle which makes the already super short stroke basically useless. Don’t waste your money on this one if you want to practice your fire building skills, just buy the Primitive Fire brand set right off the bat and save yourself the time and money of having to order that one after this one fails.

Great kit and excellent training aid. Makes kids want to learn and make a fire at home. Once kids learn how to use it, they can't get enough of it. You will have to keep it put away or they will play with it non stop! Great for getting kids interested in the outdoors and camping!

This product was a complete misrepresentation of what I actually got. The spindle was broken when I took it out of the bag and the holes were not cut out in a way that would even work.

THE STRING WAS SO DRIED OUT THAT WHEN I TRIED TO UNROLL IT , , IT CRUMBLED INTO SMALL PIECES !
