Good for my e bike and others simple yet sturdy does the job

This D-lock is okay for an inexpensive kid's bike, but I would never recommend it for an adults bike or an expensive bike in any areas that are potential targets of theft. The lock is average at best and will keep your bike safe from a quick getaway, but not from anyone who has a prybar and gives it a good pull. The locking mechanism simply seems cheap. It has a lot of play in it and the key fits poorly...I had to force the key into the lock the first few times to get it to fit properly. Like I said, it's okay, but that's as much as I can say.

I've been using this for a few months now. I've had no issues with it. Very sturdy.

Took a while to find a place to fix it but doesn’t get in the way and the bracket is fine. Takes a wee while to get used to how both sides work and work out how it fits in the bracket! Maybe just including an illustration would help.Other than a couple of teething problems, it works well.

Even though the product is sturdy it can get a bit frustrating trying to lock and unlock as the key gets stuck sometimes. Good for its price though.

Is a bit cumbersome to lock/unlock as the keys don't fit smoothly into the lock. Also if you take the top bar off you have to twist it/mess with it to get the bar back on from one side you can't just slot it back which is rather annoying - I have learnt to put it back by lifting and twisting to unlock and twisting back so I don't have to deal with it. Once locked it is perfectly fine.

The key are so small and sometimes it's hard to insert the key. The plastic bit where you put in the key is really easy to break off. Anyone with a hammer could just hit it once and it would break off.

No problems with the lock - it's great.I've attached the bracket so that it sits under the crossbar. But every time I go over a bump, it falls out of the bracket! Now fixed with a velcro strap so I'm happy, but only 4 stars.
