Does not self adhere to Carpet
I don't have a shag carpet - mine is more like the standard office carpet - and this cable protector won't stick to the carpet, not even for a little bit. Don't buy this unless you plan on taping it down with some industrial tape, at which time you could just tape the cables down to the carpet directly with the tape.

Easy to use. I would recommend it over using the large plastic cord covers.
Worked great on Berber carpet covering my exposed, flat power cord. I would have been happier if it were available in a light grey color.

This should be illegal
This item is absolute trash. It did not stick to my carpet at all. It’s essentially a $30 strip of fabric. Don’t waste your money.

Exactly what I needed!
Worked exactly as I was hoping it would. Just got a soundbar with "wireless" rear speakers. Although the rear speakers don't need to have speaker wire running to the soundbar, there is a wireless receiver that plugs in separately to a wall outlet, wires run front that to the rear speakers. I was able to put the speakers on stands, hide the wirez under the couch but still had visible wires running from one side of the couch to the wireless receiver/wall. I can now say my system ooks really clean with no visible wires anywhere! This wire cover stays very flat on the floor, adhered to the type of carpet I have very well (assuming it wouldn't work well on a shag carpet but I don't know for sure). A lot of the other wire covers I was looking at were almost a trip hazard in themselves because they were raised so high above the ground. That was not the case with this one. Seems a bit pricey for what it is but in the end it was worth it!

Works great for commercial office carpet squares
I used this to protect an HDMI cable that goes to a wall mounted display in one of our meeting rooms. The Velcro feature work very well and I appreciate that I can move the cord/cover easily as required. I've used the vinyl, adhesive backed protectors before and they come loose over time as the adhesive ages and are much more bulky than this type. Seems to offer good cable protection too. I'll buy this again for our other meeting rooms when we need this functionality.

Wrangles cords well
Has wrangled the cords running across the floor from the wall to the conference table. Since installation, the cover has not moved thanks to the hook/loop strips. Great stuff.
