Comfortable, quality, daily use chair
When it was time to replace my home office chair, I was appalled at the price of some of the options. While this chair is not made of high-end leather or other materials, it turns out to be a quality item at a reasonable price.First, it is very easy to put together, with instructions that are very clear and straightforward. No problem at all. It is a comfortable chair to work in for many hours, with good seat and arm padding. The soft pads are made with a fabric material that feels durable but is not rough to the touch. The pads are not showing any signs of wear so far, with daily use. The wheels roll easily. The arms can be lifted up and the seat can be tilted and locked back in that position. Of course it adjusts up and down with ease. I find that it has good lumbar and upper back support.A higher end chair will certainly have advantages but this chair is a nice balance of quality and features at a reasonable price. We all have things we don't mind spending money on but for me, a chair is not one of the things I wanted to splurge for, but I also didn't want a bargain bin item that started creaking and wearing down after just a few months of use, which seems common looking at reviews of other items. I think this particular chair strikes the balance between cost and value very well.

very firm seat cushion
Since I retired, I haven't spent much time in a desk chair. But recently, I sat back down at my desk to design a couple new parts using a new (to me) CAD program. I spent three full days at it. Near the end of the project, I was in a lot of discomfort. My lower back especially was (and still is, several days later) very sore. Since I hadn't 'injured' myself doing yard work, lifting anything especially heavy...I decided the chair was the culprit. It wasn't a cheap chair...it was a Serta, and it cost a pretty penny, but admittedly, that was probably 10 years back.I also had a HON I bought a couple years before retiring. It was even more expensive than the Serta, and since I no longer have it, you might assume (correctly) it wasn't all that comfortable. So, I was done buying expensive chairs, since I don't even make my living behind the desk anymore.I bought this chair specifically because it had good reviews, and the armrests flipped up out of the way. The armrests were the more important of the two, actually. When I'm driving a CAD station, I like to get all the way up to the desk, and rest my arms on top of it, with one hand on the mouse and the other on the Spacemouse. It's the most comfortable position for me with respect to keeping my wrists happy. But you can't get that close to the desk with armrests in the way. I had to remove them from both of the other chairs. This chair, as soon as I sat in it, felt better on my lower back. The support it offers there is so much better than my other chairs that it's hard to describe. The armrests work exactly as I'd hoped...they work fine when I want to use them to type on my under-desk keyboard tray, but they are totally out of the way when I want to get in close to the desktop.I wish the seat was a bit lower in the lowest position, to better accommodate me when I'm in close to the desk. But for most people, I'd bet they'd find it just about right. The seat cushion seems very firm. As it is now, my first night sitting on it, I rather like it this way, and I think I'll be fine if it stays that way. Time will tell if it changes after some more use, and if so, if it's good or bad change.Aesthetically, I love it. It looks great, and perfectly matches my desk. I got the white one, mostly because the green one (My home office has green walls) was an additional $40. I'm glad it worked out this way, because I can't imagine the green cushions looking better in my office. It went together easily. There were extra screws and washers in the packaging, making one look twice to make sure the directions were followed. They were...there's just extra fasteners.I have relatively thick carpet in my office. I didn't expect the chair to roll very well, but surprisingly it moves easier than my previous chair did.

Perfect Desk Chair — must buy!
I cannot recommend this chair enough. The price with design makes it a must buy. I researched for a new desk chair for a long time as I was looking at a name brand “ergo” friendly chair and wanted to give a more affordable option a go. SO GLAD I did! Keep an eye out for coupon sales in this brand as I was able to purchase it when they had a $40 coupon! The lumbar support is perfect and I appreciate the mesh like material for the back as it breathes really well — I get hot easily. The cushion for the seat is really comfortable for clocking longer hours at your desk. The folding arm rests are a really nice touch as I live in a small space and use the chair for guests hanging out too!Save your money on the overpriced “name brand” ergo chairs and buy this one!

I really like this chair except for one thing
The seat is comfortable and wide (maybe too wide for me) but nothing to complain about. The one thing that detracts from giving a four or five star rating is that my hair, which is long, gets caught between the two back pieces. The back flexes with a top and bottom section, which is great, but yanks out my hair.
