The minor diameter would not allow any of the threads to engage. I had to cut the threads back to where there was only three revolutions of threads left to even get one full rotation into the port to allow my aerator to work like it should. Was not really a good connection as it drips while the aerator is going. In all still worked.

Thread issue
Got this product to replace a broken airator.There is an issue with thread on both pieces received - it didn’t go all the way in. Beware it!

Thread pitch does not match standard. Cannot install.
These would not screw into the female end of either aerator on my pool. Although just eye-balling it, the thread pitch looked OK, these would either cross-thread or bind after only one revolution, even with teflon tape. I gave up and went to my local pool supply store and bought some that installed quickly and easily. For my pool, these were worthless.
