Budget Talking Watch, Does What's Needed for the Price (£10.15, if you claim the VAT back)
This is a budget talking watch, if you claim the VAT back, they're just over £10 so think of it as a £10 watch that talks and you won't be disappointed. It's plastic, the voice is a bit strange but it does what's needed. My wife became blind after a stroke and she was desperate to know the time. We use Amazon Echo's at home which are perfect but there's a gap when we're not at home or she cannot remember to say 'Alexa'. It works as expected for the money. The batteries won't last long, the watch uses speech so 4-6 months is my expectation but the batteries are cheap so it's not an issue. If they had a rechargeable model for another £10-£20, I'd probably buy one but the batteries are a couple of pound max so I don't really care too much. As my wife is blind I think it's a matter of time before it ends up in the shower or bath and at £10 (after VAT back), I'll live with buying a new one. It's about convenience, not style after all. We're in a Brain Injury Unit for her recovery and the therapists thought it was such a great idea we bought another five for other patients as it will help them as well (we bought spare batteries for them at the same time). The other reviews are not great but I wonder if people are comparing longevity to the price paid? Also, lots of complaints about battery life but to be frank, they're bound to chew through batteries, they use a speaker as well as an LCD display. I'm more than happy for the price and the benefit it gives my wife and they're also recommended by the RNIB so they can't be that bad..

Not great
The face is unreadable for the severely sight impaired. The audible voice is quiet - you wouldn’t be able to hear it in a busy place as it can’t be heard when the tv is on on a normal level. My LO can’t hear it in absolute quiet whilst I have great hearing and even then find it to be quiet. My LO is 84 and also struggled to press the button as the watch needed to be supported on the other side which meant the stop watch button was repeatedly pressed instead. Small watch face makes it discreet.

Could do with a different strap
Pleased with the watch but the strap is too large which means it lives in my pocket as it falls off my wristWould have been better if the strap could be altered.

Does what it says
The watch was for my mum who has very poor eyesight. It was great value and does what it says. Occasionally my mum upsets the settings by pressing the wrong button but that’s not really the watch’s fault. It keeps good time and the talking time feature is clear.

Perfect if you have vision problems.
Never been without a talking watch since I discovered this. Every morning I listen to the time before I get out of bed.

November 2017 - This is an excellent watch with 4 alarms for taking medications
November 2017 - This is an excellent watch with 4 alarms for taking medications... however, although it was delivered back in June of 2017 it was not activated until several weeks after receipt (until the previous one broke!) so.... as it is now November of the same year, I am really surprised that the battery lasted a possible 4-5 months!

Supposed to be a talking watch you can't hear nothing
The fact you can't hear the time for me is no good I am partially sighted hence the reason for buying the watch.
