I wanted to take these for a few nights before writing a review. I am a caregiver and under constant stress. I often lie awake for hours unable to drift off to sleep, and that in itself is stressful.First, these are formulated in the USA but the bottle doesn't say where they are manufactured. The bottle has a US phone number and a web address to contact someone if you have questions or concerns. The bottle comes double sealed.Instructions say to take ONE or TWO before bed. My first night I took one about an hour before my bed time. I did drift off to sleep in about an hour rather than the 2 or 3 or 4 hours that is my normal. The second night I took two capsules, again an hour before my bed time. I drifted off to sleep within minutes. I only got up once during the night (usual is 2 or 3 times) and I was rested the next morning. My third night I again took only one...this time I was asleep within 15 minutes and again had a really restful sleep.IN the past I've tried different types of Magnesium with mixed effect. Years ago I tried Melatonin alone and it didn't help. I didn't know what to expect with the Mag/Mel combination with the other ingredients that I've heard of but hadn't researched. Phellodendron Bark? I looked it up and it causes sleepiness.So, I look forward to a fourth night of wonderful sleep. I am very pleased with this Gentle Calm Sleep Formula by Genius Herbals.

I’ve generally used melatonin to help me sleep when my brain won’t stop wandering. I was given this to sample, and was very hesitant to try it because I didn’t recognize the brand. I had a hard time finding any information on this company. I did find other products with different labels and a slightly different name for this formula. This may be a rebranding situation, I am unsure. It’s made in the USA, so that helps. I took apart a pill and didn’t see anything weird inside. The capsule itself, does have an odd taste even though the product says it’s “unflavored”. I felt the effects within 40 minutes and then it was definitely time for me to hit the hay. This product worked so well, I slept through a 4.4 earthquake. That should tell you all you need to know.

I'm never sure how to rate and review supplements. I'm not a doctor and not a chemist so I can't make any medical or pharmaceutical claims.The best I can say is that I used to take a similar "calm" nighttime aid, with magnesium amongst the ingredients, Ina gummie format. I wanted to move away from gummies so tried these. After using them for a week, I seem to feel and sleep about the same as I did on my gummies, so I will count that as a success.As far as other things go, the packaging was standard foil over the top for anti-tampering, and they even stuffed some cotton inside to fill the space. They're a bit larger than I expected -- I took a photo and tried to include a few items for scale -- but the capsules are smooth and easy to swallow.

I have trouble falling asleep most nights. I have been taking melatonin for years but wanted to try something else in comity it to help me sleep. I’ve taken this for 4 nights so far. The package says take 1 or2 so the first night I took one and still didn’t fall asleep, ended up taking a second after about 1and a half hours and then dozed off but wasn’t a good sleep. The next night I took 2. After about 45 minutes to an hour I turned off the light and went to sleep, and fell asleep, not sure how long it took. I did get up a few times but was able to fall back asleep. So the last few nights I’ve been taking 2 and sleeping pretty good. I think the combination here is pretty effective. And I don’t feel sluggish in the morning, a plus.

I recently started looking into L-Tryptophan and 5-HTP to help with some general anxiety. I picked this up along with a couple other items for testing.This is probably the best overall mix. 5-HTP by itself gave me some stomach issues, and is probably only appropriate for a full blown panic attack. It was a bit much, but effective.L-Tryptophan is good, and I find myself using it often to regulate stress.The magnesium, L-Theanine, GABA and 5-HTP mix is like the perfect combination for general anxiety or sleep assistance. I didn't have any stomach issues and it wasn't too powerful.So, for what I was reaching for, this gets perfect marks on it.As with all things, your results may vary. I can only attest to my own experience.
