I began using this bag on 9/21, after I removed the bandages from rotator cuff surgery. I used it on/off alternating with gel packs.I loved this bag--it appears to be of good quality, the 9" was the perfect size, and it did the job. It went to work with me every day.I used both ice-cube tray ice and machine-made ice. I preferred ice-cube tray ice as it didn't melt as quickly as the other ice. After use (20 m) I would empty the bag and "hang it out to dry."The bag did sweat as I continued to use it and just yesterday, 10/21, it began leaking. Upon close inspection, I noticed a hole. I'm not sure how it got there but I'm unable to continue using the bag. That's too bad because I liked the bag so much that I got one each for my brother and sister.I would give this item four stars but because it broke down in under five weeks, I'm giving it three. I used it twice a day the first week, then once a day and sometimes skipped a day or two in the weeks that followed. I miss this bag...

I have not used as yet. I ordered because ice pads etc at local stores are junk and overpriced. I cured my problem before it arrived and in no hurry to use it. It seems very well made plus I like the simplicity should I have to use it. Also no more storing Ice or gel pads in my small freezer.Update, 9/2/15 I used it twice on a sore neck & back. I never realized but it is an 11 inch instead of the 9" as shown. I use two trays of ice and some cold water and applied it three or so times for approximately 30 minutes. By the next day I barely noticed any discomfort. The material feels like a smooth heavy cloth per-say. It gets fairly cold on bare skin but tolerable. If anything a light cloth like a handkerchief for insulation would do. After use emptied and let it dry overnight. Its a nice bag, glad I bought it. BTW 11" is overkill for small areas.

We bought this bag because it is resistant to condensation built up which is a big problem with the ice bag we currently have. For that purpose, this bag performed admirably. However, after less than a month use, a pin size hole developed near the end of one of the creases. It was not misused or mishandled, the hole is invisible to the naked eye. We can only see the water droplet form if we apply slight pressure to that area. In a bag with water filled to the top, there is enough water pressure for the leak to occur. We are returning this bag and will get another. Hopefully the next one will last longer.

I use ice packs everyday for chronic pain. At first, I found the fabric too stiff and it was uncomfortable at the worst spot of my pain. However, after using several times, the fabric has softened but held it's shape. It was advertised as having an opening that was bigger than the usual but I don't have any easier time filling it with ice. I have purchased several ice packs that are just put in the freezer but I haven't found one that works as well as a bag I can fill with ice.

This bag is really small. The so-so rating I gave it is based on size alone. Unfortunately, the bag is too small for my needs. I must have selected the wrong size when placing my order. I wanted a much larger, hot water bag. I will just store this little guy in the closet, for a rainy day as opposed to going thru the return process. Thanks for the opportunity to comment - and I'm sure it is probably a good product.

I bought this for my husband who was suffering from a tooth infection with an upcoming tooth removal following 2 weeks later. He used this everyday several times a day for 3 weeks straight and it held up well. It kept the water hot or cold for several hours at a time. Ours did end up with a small leek that caused for it to be disposed off after the 3rd week however it should be noted that we did excessively use ours so this may not have happened had it been more along the lines of normal usage.

At first I thought these worked great. I even reviewed it as such. The purpose of buying these was to help during my recovery from Knee surgery. I bought two in order to cycle through icing without having to refill to many times. I used them constantly for two months without any issues, putting ice in each one at least twice a day.After two months of constant use, they started to leak. They leak on the bottom and it gets quite messy in a few minutes even with just ice (no water).I would suggest looking for a different product if you need something to keep up with constant use. If you are using this for an every once in a while application, then note you will have a limited number of uses.

Haven't used this yet, but a suggestion . . . It would be helpful if the photos included each available size "in use" ... with ice or water and actually placed on an arm or leg or shoulder. Would be much easier to know which size to purchase. 6" 9" or 11" doesn't mean much when the measurement is of an empty elongated bag. That said, the feel of the bag is soft to the touch, and the lid seems to close securely.

Lovely product, very strong and great for muscle ache . It came very quikly very pleased.
