My niece and I have been big HP fans since the beginning. When she was a child, I'd bring her to the local bookstore to get new HP books, which were being sold starting at midnight. We'd be given a number and then sit against a bookcase, watching all the activity around us. They were special memories that just the two of us shared.When I discovered these earrings I simply had to order them. They are subtle and only other HP fans will recognize them, so it's as if I'm wearing secret symbols that few will appreciate. The earrings are clearly high quality and have a lovely shine to them. And the packaging is stellar and original. My only issue with the packaging is the fact that the box is a very tight fit for the wonderful HP bag the earrings are placed in.Another thing I'd prefer is that the Sorting Hat was mirror images as opposed to the same design in both ears. Otherwise, the earrings are Wonderful and I will need to get a set for my niece as a Christmas gift. She may now be in her 30's, however, once an HP fan, Always an HP fan.

These are super cute and adorable with nice packaging, but if you're looking for gold or silver flash plated for allergy or sensitivity reasons, these do not have any of the markings to indicate that these are gold and silver plated brass. It is my understanding that China may not be required to stamp if these are gold or silver plated, but there is no mention of gold or silver plating anywhere on the product. Purchase at your own discretion.

Novelty/themed jewelry always is risky unless you're getting it from a jewelry store. Often times it's poorly made, it breaks, you see solder joints. This set looks spectacular. When my wife wears them, everyone asks about them and she loves being able to show off the shapes (I'm not a Harry Potter fan really, so I don't know much about them).Best of all - they're studs! It seems everyone sells dangling Harry Potter earrings - studs are a nice change of pace.

I love these! There is a deathly hallows, golden snitch, and sorting hat. I didn't think they were overstated, but Harry Potter fans immediately noticed them, and struck up a conversation with me, and we chatted about some of our favorite parts of the books. I love it!
