Easy to set up and use

We got this to try out with opened bottles of wine - and it works. It's easy to use, you just need to be patient for it to do its thing - about a minute or two. I was also pleasantly surprised how quieter it was than I expected. I'm sure it'll work for mason jars too but we'll be using it for wine only. I would've given it 5 stars if it also injected nitrogen gas into the bottle too but that is a much more expensive gadget - LOL.

I got this just to keep my wine fresh. Takes about a min to suck out the air. Comes with a stopper that you keep in the bottle. Very easy to use and works great. Now I don't have to drink a whole bottle at once.

I had never used a mason jar sealer before, so I was surprised by how efficient this machine was to use. It took about 40 seconds to vacuum the air out of a mason jar full of crackers and I still don't understand how it works, since you put the flat lid on the jar and then the sealer over that. It stops automatically when there's no more air to remove. I was afraid the glass jar would implode, but the sealer automatically senses when to stop. Now my crackers won't go stale, ever again! Yay!It comes with a accessories such as plastic bags with suction portal holes, and coiled pipettes to suction out air from open wine bottles with one special wine bottle stopper. I wish I knew how to buy more of those wine bottle stoppers that would work with this machine, as well, since I often have more than one bottle of wine open (white, rose and red).I left off a star because my kit was missing an external suction accessory for removing air from the plastic bags (included). Assuming if yours were missing a piece, you could get a replacement from them but the hassle would still be worth subtracting a star.

I've always been scared of the idea of canning. It seems complicated and prone to failure. I'm not saying this will preserve your food as well as tried and true canning methods, but for keeping stuff fresher for longer, it works a treat. The unit's quite easy to use - just fit it on the jar and press the button. 10-20 quiet seconds later, it automatically stops with 98-100% vacuum (at least that's what the LCD says). It's so quick and easy I've started using it to reseal jars I'm going to use within a couple days just to keep it a bit fresher

The media could not be loaded. My wife and I like to can and vacuum seal food for future use. Even if you don't can food, vacuum sealing is simple and it helps to make food last longer. We did an experiment with cheese, and got a year life out of cheese. We will vacuum seal meat then put it in the freezer, helping to extend the life beyond what freezing does.This is a handy tool to have around. This is a good value for what you get. I have had one similar to this for years. I would recommend this product and encourage more people to get involved with sealing their food. There are reusable bags so makes this product even more useful. If you don't want to invest in a large vacuum sealer, this is a great and affordable option.If you are thinking about getting into the vacuum sealing of you food, this is a good starter kit.

Good sealer for preserving dried goods and such in jars, and also comes with an adapter to seal up wine bottles and such. Works as it should, and has good suction and seals properly!
