Works Perfectly
The first thing to say is, I never saw myself playing music through Bluetooth and so I purchased a Yamaha amp without that feature built-in. Thankfully, this device has come to my rescue.I have always been reluctant to use streaming music services like Spotify or Amazon music. Partly for snobbery – streamed content is generally encoded at a low bit-rate and so lossy; partly because logging in and connecting to a service and configuring it to play the music I want has always seemed like an annoyance I can do without, and; partly because it would be yet another monthly payment to make. I have now changed my mind! Why? I bought an Amazon Echo Dot (Alexa). I am a Prime member and so gain access to Prime Music – no new monthly cost. I can ask Alexa to play almost any music I want without any configuration or thinking about it in advance. I have become less snobby about my music quality. However, it did present me with a problem over how to get Alexa to play through my AV amp and speakers. Initially, I tried to save cost by buying an alternative, apparently similar, product from mpow. Big mistake, the sound quality was poor and absolutely horrendous when plugged into the DC power at the same time. That was sent back to Amazon and the YBA-11 purchased instead. Easy to setup, perfect sound quality. It may be expensive, but it’s worth it.

Excellent and means you do not need a dongle .
Reviews on this were very good and I can only concur . If you have an older amp etc. this means you can get Bluetooth without the need for a dongle . Please note this only comes with a coaxial connection so make sure whatever you connect to has a coaxial in . A plus though is that it can be used with any make of amp etc. and not just limited to Yamaha products . Easy set up and I have found both sound and signal excellent . I personally chose to discard their coaxial connector and used a £60 coaxial lead and the sound is so good . This does not mean their coaxial connector (supplied) is no good but I learnt a long time ago that all audio connectors and speaker wires are worth upgrading . Having experienced problems with airplay on a lot of products over last year or so I now am totally into Bluetooth . This device to date has never dropped the Bluetooth signal in the slightest . In fact I stopped using my Nexus 7.7 because of ongoing Bluetooth problems that I believe Android upgrades have never fixed . With this adapter though there have been no problems and using my Nexus again but of course you can use iPad or any other Bluetooth compatible device on the market . Cannot recommend this enough and so pleased with this purchase .

Yamaha Blue Tooth adapter -Works very well with Yamaha Amplifier
Great Blue Tooth adapator with our Rx-1030 Avantage Yamaha Amplifier. Easy to stream audio and video on our mobiles, laptop and galaxy tab via the Yamaha amplifier and it sounds good.Would recommend it. Will give it a 4 1/2 stars and not a 5 as the price is on the higher side.

Absolutely Superb
This is not the cheapest Bluetooth Adapter but it really is very good indeed. I use it to stream Spotify Premium from my Samsung SM-T230 Tab-4 which has aptX enhanced Bluetooth. I have Spotify set for maximum (Extreme) quality and the Yamaha YBA-11 feeds my Marantz PM6005 amplifier (which has a digital coaxial input) to some large floor standing hi-fi speakers. . Apparently the Marantz amplifier has quite a good built in D/A converter and the sound quality it produces with the Yamaha YBA-11 is absolutely superb. I am quite picky as far a audio quality is concerned and tend to listen to lot of demanding classical music. With this little adaptor I think the streamed audio quality via Bluetooth is just as good for normal listening as from my other quality sources including a separate hi-fi CD player and playing FLAC files via Toslink. The Bluetooth connects very easily and it seems to have a much larger range that other Bluetooth devices I have tried. It doesn't drop out at all and just stays solidly connected whilst delivering stonkingly good audio!

it sound great. But the tricky part is to get it ...
When connected, it sound great. But the tricky part is to get it connected to my Samsung Note 4.I have to on/off the amp and restart my phone to get it connected everytime I want to establish a link.

Good with one 1/2 minus star...
Personally I would give this 4.5 to be exact. But as I also got a amplifier from Yamaha and it is superb, let give 5 overall. This bluetooth device works well and sound quality is great. The only reason I thought about taking 1/2 a star off, is that cheaper devices like the Mini Boom allow you to connect easily from various devices. For some reason this does not and this is a bit disappointing. Once you paired it with one device, your are set. No changes possible. Did try everything but could not find out how. Minus point.Verdict:Specially if you own a Yamaha receiver and if you don't have many friends who want to connect their devices to it, this is great.

Get this if you don't need analogue outputs
Good range, so easy to use and the button on top to disconnect whichever of your devices has randomly decided to connect is a godsend.Works with any amp that can take SPDIF inputs so not limited to Yamaha. I use it on an Audiolab M-DAC+ which even has a USB port for supplying power so the YBA11 powers on only when the DAC is on.Additional plus points include that it is physically small, the lights are visible but not too bright, when nothing is paired the light is off and when paired it's statically on so not annoyingly blinking away in the corner all the time. This product looks like it has been thought through properly and in case you can't tell, I really like it.
