The bed in pictures looks fairly sturdy. It is just pine so when we were unboxing and unwrapping some of the wood did have some scrapes and imperfections. It took us a while to get it set up because you literally put it together board by board. I am deducting one star because the legs for the headboard are not solid legs like the foot of the bed has they are the 1 bys which we aren't sure how long those will hold up.The bed is fairly sturdy based on the few nights we have slept on it. We even liked that the little foam pads were included for the head board.

I like the look of the bed, however it is very flimsy. It took 3 and a half hours for myself and hubby to put it together. If you need a spare bed, it is a good option.
