Sam & Max: Season 1 (Nintendo Wii)

Good game, Bad port
Sam & max is a must have game for any fan of the classic adventure game sof old, like monkey island, Indian jones, and Grim fandango. It has it's own unique sense of humour which you are bound to love. However, the wii port is vastly inferior to the PC version. It suffers from low resolution textures, various bugs, and the dialogue has an annoying habit of cutting out the last part a sentence, leading you to rely on the subtitles more than you should. In short, if you are a fan of adventure games, get this, but get the PC version if at all possible.

some bugs and glitches, hard to understand, because the cd is in perfect condition. Game almost impossible to play but it's not the seller's fault, hence the 4/5 and not 5/5

Like pulling teeth
I feel bad to say this but did not like the game there was way too much dialogue, graphics were lovely but sold it on quite quickly my son is only 4 and wanted a bit more action.

Cheeeesssssseeeee!
A rehash of old pc games ported to the Wii.Normally I can't stand ports but this one works. If you like point and click games but don't want them too serious, this is the game for you. Can be a bit daft at times which makes it slightly more difficult to solve puzzles as you have to thick like a hound that's a detective or a psychotic rabbit.Graphics are dated, animations aren't that good and controls are a bit hit and miss at times but if you can get past these grimps theres a fun game in here that'll have you laughing your little rabbit head off!

A Welcome Return
The only reason I can think of to explain why someone would write a totally negative review of Sam & Max for the Wii is if you had no idea what kind of game you were buying in the first place. Basically, if you are after action, you don't buy a point and click graphic adventure game. To complain about its sedate nature is like criticising an apple for not being an orange. For those of you who do not remember the heyday of the genre, a graphic adventure is a thoughtful, story-driven game, usually involving a lot of detective work and logic puzzles, and most importantly (if it's a good example of the form) cherishably quotable dialogue. The masters of this were LucasArts, and one of their indisputable gems was Sam & Max Hit The Road. This is the long overdue return of Steve Purcell's much-loved characters in videogame form, which originally appeared as downloadable content for the PC - hence the episodic nature of this 'season' collection. Those of us who loved the genre will have mourned its decline since the '90s golden era, but the arrival of the Wii is a reason to celebrate. Its control system makes it ideally suited to this type of game, and if Season One isn't without its flaws (the episodic structure - and perhaps budgetary limitations - leads to a lot more repetition of environments than you might like), in conjunction with Zack & Wiki (and the forthcoming Season Two) this is a very encouraging new dawn for a much-missed genre. If enough people buy this, perhaps even the inscrutable LucasArts might see fit to repurpose their classics for Nintendo's little gem...

A fun and zany game.
If you ever played the original "Sam & Max Hit the Road" game, then i'm sure you will love "Season 1". The game has the same zany humour as the previous games, but with an updated look. Each of the six episodes takes you to new places, with new characters and new puzzles to solve.I really believe this is for anyone who is a fan of the old style 'point and click' adventure games or anyway who wants to try something a bit different on the Wii.Go on, give it a go. Its Fun and original!

Not like the old ones but still good fun.
While I was hoping for something more like the old school sam and max hit the road, this is still a good game. There are still a lot of quirky puzzles and amusing dialogue. All in all it's a good game, but not the best. Worth the money in my opinion.
