I ordered this personal alarm for easy access on my keychain. I already had an alarm whistle but that needs to be brought to my mouth to use. This alarm is quicker to use because it is in my hand already with my keys. This alarm is loud enough to attract attention from a good way off and to startle a person with bad intentions. It is easy to use and lightweight to carry. Having a light is an added bonus that comes in handy especially for opening locked doors that are not otherwise illuminated. For the added safety it provides, and its ease of use, I think this personal alarm is a good value.

I've had this alarm on the charger for two days now and it's in perpetual charging mode. Neither the light nor the alarm sound features work at all. Sadly, this is going in the trash.

So, this has to have both buttons pressed for 3 seconds to be able to set it off, plus a 3 second activation time while holding the button for yet another extended press. While this is good for not setting it off on accident it's pretty useless for setting it off intentionally because something is happening and you want as many eyes on you as possible NOW!Sound meter only recorded 85db, far from 130db.Lights aren't all that bright.If you're using it for something off-label like I will be after finding the activation flaw (coyotes hate them in the country) it might be useful as a flash marker when running or biking in the dark, but definitely not for an emergency!

The size is convenient, but the alarm volume and ease of use could be improved. While not perfect, it serves its purpose as an emergency personal safety device.

This personal safety alarm for women works as expected. It charges quickly and the noise is loud enough without being deafening. I will take this when out walking as well as on my keychain when shopping, running errands, etc. The flashing light feature is nice if walking at night to make myself more visible to passing cars. The clip on the back is a nice feature as well as the detachable keychain. This is a great personal safety product for anyone.
