Awesome
I got this because I love my Shun and Miyabi knives, and the way the bolster of this one is designed reminds me of them. I wanted something with a wide blade to transfer chopped vegetables to the pot. It is indeed shaving sharp out of the box. Heavy too, I was afraid it was going to arrive and be stamped thin steel, definitely not, you can feel the indentations, not sure if they are etched into the surface or actually part of a folding process, but if it is etched I am not mad, especially for the price. Looks like it dropped to $20 after I ordered it but it is worth at least $40. Also to be expected for the price- you can feel the change from the bolster to the handle, but it’s not aggregious, just not perfectly ground. If I had wanted perfect I would have paid for Shun, but I am very pleased with this decision.

Useful and very, very sharp
Perfectly prepared vegetables every time, cuts extremely thin if needed, easy to handle and use.

Is this a knock off?
First off, I absolutely love the look and feel of this knife in my hand when slicing! No problems with veggies or meat. It didn’t come sharp out of the box, just a basic edge. I spent a little bit of time sharpening it with a little bit of honing oil and an Arkansas whetstone and it’s sharp enough to shave with! Now for the cons: I’ve seen exact replicas of this knife with different manufactures name on it which leads me to believe that either this is a replica or the others are. I believe this to be 1095 high carbon steel but the packaging didn’t list the steel type.

Perfect for processing elk!
I bought this for my son-in-law for Christmas. He used it right after Christmas to process an elk. He let me know that it worked great, that it is very sharp and durable. It seems a good value for the money compared to other expensive cleavers.

FOR THE PRICE AMAZING!
It’s a $25 dollar knife. For the price it’s amazing. There’s stuff wrong with it, handle not perfect etc. def not high carbon steal. But it’s $25 dollars! Amazing for price! Feels great, heavy, sharp asf. Probably won’t hold an edge for very long but I plan to beat the shit out of it. Invest in a Better knife if you want but I’ll just buy one more of theses in a few years instead of spending $200.

I love this for cutting through bones
I needed a good heavy cleaver for chopping up turkey and chicken bones for my dog. It’s heavy and solid and makes it much easier to prepare dog food
