Book Ends,Bookends Wood Book Ends Universal Economy Bookend (1, Medium)

I needed a small bookend for my desk; I thought this would just be 1, but it's 1 set, so included 2 bookends! The wood isn't particularly heavy, so smaller items would be best suited for it, but that's what I needed it for (a narrow shelf with some planners and small notepads). The metal base slips into a slit in the bottom of the wood (and it can only go one way, as there is a groove on one side to accommodate the thin height of the metal). It isn't permanent, but can be glued in with some wood glue - I like that it can be removed, since I won't use both at this time, and can put the other away without it being bulky and awkward. The wood itself is also basic, but nice - my desk is walnut and it complements it perfectly. The stain is kind of matte, so it doesn't look like cheap veneer; it actually looks like a part of my desk, and the small size perfectly fits the narrow shelf on my desk. Overall, great small bookend set for lightweight book support, and has a nice, modern aesthetic.

The bookends are smaller than I expected them to be, and a little bit on the miniature side, but they do a good job of keeping books nice and tidy on the shelf. They're made of wood, and came not connected to the metal stand, but I just put them together and didn't see a need to screw or glue them together. They stand firm on their own. I did get two bookends, though the listing says 1, Medium. So, I'm not entirely what you're going to get if you order them. Perhaps the "1" pertains to the size #. Anyways, these are nice, natural looking little bookends I actually really like them for holding up my pocket sized novels.

This set of two bookends are sturdy and easy to put together and use. Made out of quality wood and great for customizing. I got this to paint as a wedding gift coming at the end of the year and the added design looks really good on the wood. It's really quite lovely and a great value.

These are simple yet quite beautiful. There were no defects, knots or any type of blemishes on the ones received. I am very pleased with them. They would make a great gift for book lovers.

These feel way smaller than the way they look in some of the photos. They're also in 2 pieces which is less than ideal for me, since the part of the base that connects into the bookend part is pretty short. I have some concerns about how that's going to hold up long term with book weight leaning against it. But for the time being, they're doing their job, and aren't obtrusive with how small they are, so they work well enough.

Lovely show horse but not a work horse. The walnut finish on these bookends is beautiful, but they are VERY small. Most of the bookends of this type that I use (and I use a lot of them) are 7 inches tall. These bookends are 5 inches on their tippy toes. The lip of the metal leg that slips into the wood section of the bookend is less than 1/2 inch long. I don't think it would support the weight of heavy books leaning into it; the wood would splinter in no time.The walnut finish is dark and rich, and the bookends would be attractive displaying a couple of books or other items. This just isn't the choice for heavy duty book corralling.

These worked exactly as intended and look fantastic. The wood is real and the ends stay nicely. We used these on a couple shelves and they have kept the books in place and are also slim enough if you would like these just as an accent.

The walnut on these bookends is absolutely beautiful. Mine had lots of natural woodgrain variation. They are a bit on the smaller side (check measurements or see photo) but it doesn't affect their ability to hold up the books. They function just fine without sliding. I can imagine with smaller children's books they would look fabulous in a natural themed nursery. Not easy to get a solid wood product like this, so this was a nice find!
