It's a great book, specially for the fans of Muji and minimal design. Yet, the information in it might also be a bit minimal as well. Great pictures and all. but maybe some people might expect more text or something else. I advise it anyway.

Disappointing
Disappointing. I love Muji and wanted to like this. I expected more about the artistry and design of Muji items- the ethos behind the finished product etc. There are quite a few books and films now about the design and inspiration of various products from films (e.g. the Studio Ghibli art books) to the history of font development ("Helvetica" film). I guess I was hoping for something in that spirit, wheras this feels more like (a very expensive) catalogue with pictures but- I felt- precious little insight or background to the design.

Beautiful and intelligent book
This is an awesomely beautiful book, as well as an intelligent reflection on fashion, design and human desire underpinning the current consumer culture. The book explores an alternative approach adopted by Muji: to create good quality, inexpensive goods that would make life simpler, more enjoyable and sustainable. Muji has developed a great idea of what a good and sensible lifestyle may look like; this book is a brilliant exposition of that idea. I loved every moment reading and looking at it.
