We all worry about buying a product that is new enough only to have a handful of reviews. Like many of you, I rely on the advice and guidance of others on Amazon and I am always nervous making a purchase for a newer item. Since this was a very good deal, I decided to take a chance. I am very glad I did.This is an excellent product. The app and accessories are of high quality as well. I am very impressed that the manufacturer had such attention to detail at this price point.The camera attaches to a sturdy, bendable arm that connects either to a base or a clip. We use the clip - it is strong and made of metal. I feel confident that it will stay in place. I would have been satisfied with sturdy plastic, but this clip is of better quality than I expected.The USB cord that comes with it and provides power to the device is quite long. Another unexpected, high quality accessory.Please understand that this is the camera and app only. There is not a separate video display unit. The display is on a smartphone or tablet. For me that is a plus, I don’t need another unit to buy batteries for or that needs to be plugged into the wall. I have a phone or tablet nearby most of the time and I prefer that to be my display unit. Just be aware of that in case that is not an advantage to you.You even have access for anywhere, not just at home. I can check on our baby while I am at work if I am missing him.The app that comes with it is simple but intuitive. The setup was fairly easy. I followed the directions and there were 8 easy steps. I think most people will find it reasonable to set up. Those who are not handy in that way willprobably have a friend or older child in their life that can help.NOTE: I did have one challenge during setup. There is a step where you are sending yourself an email to make the connection between the device and the phone. I think it may help to pause for a few seconds after receiving the email before clicking the link. It took a few tries for me to get it right.The camera is very high quality. During the day, it is a perfect, high-def color displaying on my phone in the app. In lower light is switches to B&W and then to the infrared camera in the dark. The clarity you see with the infrared in a dark room is amazing.Buy with confidence. Customer service seems great. They reached out via Amazon after purchase in case there were any issues. They even gave us notice today that the app would be down for 10 minutes for an update. That communication and attention to detail is comforting to me. It reflects my positive impression of their product.

Constantly disconnects, with no notice to me. App has zero instruction, not super user friendly. When it's connected, it's very good at notifying me when there's motion in the room... But some times the connection will drop three times in ten minutes, again, without telling me (I keep the camera on, so to me it just looks like my son is peacefully sleeping, but really the connection has dropped, that's a frozen image from eight minutes ago, and he's been screaming for five)Also, when I receive a push notification that "motion has been detected" opening that notification freezes the app, and I have to shut down and re-open everything, just to see what's going on. Very annoying.The camera itself is great, the sound quality is good... I'd love it, if I wasn't relying on it to notify me that my child needed me. Honestly, I think we'll find a use for this eventually... but I'm pretty annoyed it's being sold as a baby monitor when it's so incredibly unreliable.

I researched several baby monitors so I could keep an eye on my mom with dementia while she was in her bathroom and bedroom. Everytime she moves or speaks in the room with the monitor, I get an alert on my iPhone. I can take still shots or videos of her via the Phone App. The only small issue I would have to note, this little camera is not a rechargable battery type of tool - you must keep in plugged in all the time. But using our home wifi, and the monitor has made my life so much easier to keep an eye on my mom from the other end of the house! The one think I wasn't able to find out product-wise was if I can use multiple-montiors and see the camera on both at the same time.

I gave this a shot after seeing a news article about its release and just hoped for the best since it only had 9 reviews at the time. This was for my second child as I was still using an old monitor for my other kid in another room. For $60 I though it was sure worth a shot! Well, I couldn’t be happier!PROS:-set up was easy (albeit a little strange)-picture quality day or night vision is fantastic-audio seems great (though I rarely use this feature)-I can easily pack it and take in on vacation or to my in laws and set it up there (as long as there is WIFI)-I can check on baby if I’m out of the house, even if I don’t have WIFI I can choose to use cellular data to see-easy to mount and move around-can check on my phone instead of carrying additional equipment around-multiple mounting options-super affordable-can have multiple cameras on one account-can share access to the cameras (if inlaws are babysitting or whatever)CONS:-occasional random glitches such as LED blinks even when set to turn off in settings, or camera won’t connect even after a refresh, and so on. HOWEVER all of these occasional glitches seem to resolve themselves if I take a minute to either restart the app on my phone or, worst case, unplug the camera for 10 seconds and replug it in to the outlet. This is just what you get with technology, so it’s not really a bad “con”-arm is a little weak and I can’t always get the best angle with it without it dipping down from the position I had, but one day I won’t need to move it as much as I do now so this will resolve itself-can’t seem to fix the time stamp (it’s an hour off)-not an extensive manual so it was a little confusing on how to set it up in another location (friend’s house). But after deleting the camera from the app then re-adding it and starting fresh, it worked just fine and turned out to be pretty simple to relocate. We did that again once we got home and it was no problem.I was so impressed with the high quality and ease of use of this camera that I ended up buying another one to replace the old crappy Gynoii baby monitor I have in my older son’s room and figured having a “spare” for when we’re out of town would come in handy! My husband and I each have the app and can easily toggle back and forth to keep an eye on both kids. It’s THE BEST!
