Bought to do the detail like little faces on the bananas, mushrooms etc on the Mario Kart birthday cake. Worked well, but dried out faster than I'd have hoped. Have stayed in closing film to store on the hope I'll be able to use it more than once! If it's unusable next time I get it out I'll be pretty unhappy with his much I paid for something that can only be used once, but if it lasts then I'll be happy as it was easy to use and did what I wanted.

I tried to make little dots for eyes, a couple of whiskers and a nose on little white mice. The pen gave up after the third one. I ended up using a felt tip pen. Waste of money

I make cupcakes and fondant decorations and was looking for an edible way to get very fine black detail onto my cakes. This pen is perfect and it also has two different sizes which is even better. The colour is vibrant and stands out well and hasn't dried out like some other makes I have previously used. I highly recomend.

Great to have an edible pen to write on fondant. Only gripe is they don't last long (these are not felt tips) and you must ensure lid is secure, otherwise it will dry out. However, I prefer to use these for small dot detail or writing on fondant insted of a paint brush diped in black food colour.

I was making my son a 'Hitman' cake for his birthday and needed to have a barcode as part of the decoration. I found this icing pen on Amazon and thought I would give it a go. It worked perfectly - the pen was easy to control and the colour was bold and clear. It was much better than using those icing tubes you can get.I was very pleased with the result - as was my son!
