Cool details and affordable
Honestly this brand is better than most Lego sets. The details, lights, and scenery make it very enjoyable. Not only is this brand affordable but getting all the sets on the theme is too much fun. If this was a Lego set this would probably be 400$ but this brand has the exact same quality! I would highly recommend to anyone who can’t afford Lego brand but wants something just as better. I personally bought all the western sets and it looks awesome.

Awesome!!!
This was a great purchase! Kept the teenager busy for over a week. He was able to complete it by himself working on and off all Christmas break! Pieced are normal size. (Not micro) It comes with a very big step by step instruction book, each section is bagged separately. It has moving parts and lots of cool detail. Complete with dining area in the passenger cart and rail explosives, a shovel… rail vegetation… it’s pretty cool. Definitely worth the price we paid and quality is as good as the name brand competitor. A few pieces have accidentally come off… like when the dog ran over it… but overall holds together very well. Very happy with this purchase and will be looking for more.

All aboard for affordable fun!
Love this Funwhole train set! Highly detailed with lights and using quality GoBricks which are identical to Lego (but half the price). Pieces hold together well and the lighting kit really adds to the overall look, not to mention value. Lego should pay attention, they have gotten lazy and let creativity slide while prices continue to rise. I loved this set so much I bought the entire FunWhole Wild West collection, a theme Lego doesn’t even offer.

Good quality bricks, good quality printed pieces
So I finally put together this set, and I have to say, I'm impressed with the quality. The bricks stay together every bit as nicely as genuine LEGO bricks. I've actually had to reassemble it several times, due to my cat knocking it off from where I have it displayed, but it usually stays in big chunks when it does fall. Some of the detail pieces, like the steam pipes on the front wheels of the engine are fragile, but that would be the same with genuine LEGO pieces. It's simply that trying to replicate these design elements of a 4-4-0 train with LEGO-style pieces really can't be done in a sturdy way at this size. The recommended age is 16+, so it really is meant to be a display set rather than for the rugged play of young children. The printed pieces are good quality. At first I thought some of the printing had rubbed off on the 'FREIGHT' pieces on the side of the coal tender, but it's that they're actually meant to look slightly old and worn. The character designs are really nice. Unfortunately, they aren't the same shape as genuine LEGO men, but I suppose that can't be helped, as that's something LEGO still retains rights to. I wasn't really interested in the wiring and lighting aspect of the set, as none of my LEGO sets are lighted, so this would just be out-of-place among them. However, the wiring is heavily integrated into the build design, so you either have to build it with the wiring, have some suitable replacement bricks that are the right colors, or cut off the wires permanently. It would be nice if they had included some suitable non-wired bricks so that one could choose to make it wired or not. I'm both a LEGO enthusiast, and a Wild West enthusiast, so this series of sets from Fun Whole really scratch an itch for me.

Best Non-LEGO ever
So in the past i have bought A LOT of off brand LEGOs as i am a fanatic but cannot fathom paying some of the bloated prices for official LEGO items. Every single one of these other off brands have been, at best, OK, as i could get them at a much cheaper price but clearly the quality of instructions and bricks was lacking as most of these off brand models were so delicate that playing with them was out of the question and they were relegated to my display shelf only. However, this FUNWHOLE train set is out of this world, beyond perfect! Not only were the instructions incredibly clear and concise but the bricks themselves are LEGO equivalent (and it comes with lighting features). My 4 year old son has been playing with this train on the carpet (not even the train tracks), running it backwards and forwards and has yet to break any pieces off (and he breaks everything). If this were a LEGO set it would easily run well over $200 but an Amazon sale dropped this down to nearly $60!! Unbelievable, outstanding, and beyond impressive. I have already purchased a few more kits from FUNWHOLE and will be using them as my go-to LEGO source!!

Really nice!
My 11 year old son really enjoyed putting this train together! It’s very detailed and just as good as Lego Brand.

It’s a great product, UNLESS YOU NEED PARTS.
I really like Funwhole. They’re just as good a quality as Lego, sometimes better, at half (sometimes even less) the price. I’m wondering if Amazon purchases are covered by warranty because I can’t get them to answer me about a broken light cord. That’s odd because the first time I contacted them about getting a part they told me how to do it and I did all the pictures and description and so forth and they never got back to me. The design calls for running a cord underneath a gold trim tube on the side of the engine. I had mine installed and then pushed in the gold tube trim. The wire underneath broke. Maybe they don’t want to sell me another one, but they won’t tell me. So if you’re looking for good service, you might want to keep looking. UPDATE: it's now been about 10 weeks and I haven't got an answer to my multiple request to buy a new light for the engine. I want to pay for it. They still won't answer me. I've never been rude that I can remember, but I did tell him that it would be part of my review. I really don't get it. I mean it's another foreign company so they're building their clientele but we can already see that the prices are getting higher.

Good build, but more fiddly than the buildings!
I added the train to the rest of the Western lineup of models from Funwhole. I'm not into trains, but thought it would go well with the train station, sheriff's office and saloon. Unfortunately, I didn't think it through with regards to the length of the train. My own fault I know! It also has lights, like the rest of the models, but of course, you need to remember that the wires will run along the full length of the train, so you wont be able to split them up. I would've liked to have seen a better light strip connection here, so you had the ability to change the length if you wanted too and still use the lighting. It only comes with straight track, which is the full length of the train. Again I would've liked to have seen some extra track and namely curved pieces, so that you could change the direction. Small points I know, but that would've made a good build, great! Also bear in mind that the Western Train station has a section of track in front of the station, but it is attached to a flat piece and therefore the train track with the train will be one flat piece lower and not connect properly! The train front is the most fiddly because it has the most moving parts. I think Funwhole could've done a bit better with this model, given a little more thought in its conception, as it's not a static building! Overall, a great build, but lost the normal five star review from me, due to the points I covered.
