This mat fits my griddle fairly well and although it would be nice to have it extend up and over all the sides, it seems to be doing a good job as is. Front to back fit is very good, but there is a slight gap side to side, more noticeable if you pull it flush to one side or the other. One the the issues is with any griddle mat like this is: What to you do with the mat while the griddle is in use? You can lay it flat, griddle side up, but that takes a fair amount of space and you have to make sure nothing falls on the griddle-side of the mat. If you lay it with the griddle side down, you'll get oils on whatever surface you sit it on and you would need to wash it. I really don't want to do that every time I take it off. There's room under the griddle to fold it in half and slide it there. It's silicone, so heat shouldn't be an issue. Still - as an alternative, if you remove the mat by the two handles, and then invert it, you can pull the handles together with the griddle-side on the inside, and hang it from a hook. I use a magnetic hook attached to the back of my griddle cart. That keeps the griddle-side fairly protected and it doesn't take up much space. I try to be careful with the handles as they are not quite as thick as the rest of the mat. I don't know if the manufacture intended them for this use, but it's at least an option. If you buy a mat that doesn't have handles, you could probably do the same thing using a clip in addition to the hook, and if your cart has an upper shelf (mine does not), I suppose you could lay it there. My Blackstone does not have either the hood or cover, so I think a mat like this is a good idea. I've even read comments from owners with a hood/cover that still use one of these because of insects and rodents. I deducted 1 star because of the side to side coverage gap.

This silicone cover mat is a great fit for the Blackstone. It's fits snug and secure. It has a heavy duty feel and quality thickness and construction.The mat won't slide or move once in place, even if transporting the grill.This is a great way to keep animals off the direct griddle and keep your finish in excellent condition.The mat is easy to wash with soap and water, it becomes like new.

This griddle cover works well and is easy to install and remove.The orange looks great except for a ridge down the middle from being folded during shipping, but it went away over time. I did expect it to be a bit thicker material for some reason, but it is super handy for protecting my otherwise uncovered griddle surface.

This silicone griddle mat perfectly fits our 36" Blackstone griddle and offers a good level of protection against various hazards. I appreciate the handles on the sides. We also got silicone mats for the side shelves but did not like or use them. However, after each use, we put on this griddle cover and truly see its value.

I'm always looking for an alternative use for things, or something to fit an unusual space. I have an outdoor utility laundry I gathered for when there might not be electricity during blackouts, or if the washer dies (like mine did) and I needed to still get laundry done without finding a laundromat, which here is like 45 minutes away. My use for this griddle cover is simply to cover a wooden worktable. I have a clothes wringer mounted to the end and as the clothes are wrung out they end up laying on this wonderful and clean silicone mat. Like, I don't even have to worry if the table is dusty, being outside, it will be, and I lay this mat down and hand wash and wring laundry. It fit the dimensions of the table depth and it has a lip that helps keep any puddle of water from just running everywhere, so I chose this.

I am not using this on a Blackstone 36" flat-top griddle. I am using this on a Royal Gourmet GB4000 which is also 36". That said, it's not a perfect fit for my flat-top. There's a small gap on either side, but the mat still does the job of protecting the surface and keeping the seasoning intact. It's easy to clean and is dishwasher safe (I have yet to run it through the dishwasher). Compared to other products on Amazon, the price is fair and inline with the rest by a few dollars. It's a solid item and I'd recommend to anyone with a 36" flat-top griddle.
