Q: Does this use velcro for closure?

I purchased this for a friend in another city. The one I ordered for myself closes with elastic and a button. I don't like it at all. It rolls and twist

Q: Do i heat the water in the water bottle, or i do i heat water then pour it into the bottle? what temperature will the hot water tolerate?

I do heat the water in the bottle and have not had an issue. For me, about 60 to 90 seconds is enough heat for a full bottle (it's hot to touch, but toleratable once it's in the pouch and protected by the layer of fabric) i find the heat lasts for about 30 minutes

Q: How do you wash these?

I washed separately in the washing machine and hung to dry with no problems
