Amazingly Surprised !
This is my second electric scooter; the other was a “name brand “ and returned because of battery issues and bad customer service.Anyway, I purchased this scooter during Amazon days but chose to buy it through Amazon vs vendor direct so I paid a little more for a “just in case” no hassle return.Although it has 5-star areas, overall I’m assessing it as a 4-star product. So here’s why it’s a 4-star:1. No bike shocks: the other e-scooter I returned had front and rear shocks and that was really comfortable when ridingMy solution: I bought a better shock absorbing seat and that works great ($49 fix)2. Seat is small and uncomfortableMy solution: I spent time on Amazon looking at really comfortable bike seats and found one I liked.3. No rear light. The other e-scooter had a front and rear light and when you turned the key on both came on and the rear flashed when brakes were appliedMy solution: I bought a rear brake/signal light ($40)So these are my reasons for the overall 4-star ratingNow my overall assessment:5-stars:Customer service: outstanding!!!Email response: quick and problem solvingReplacement parts: really affordable (if needed) and availableMaintenance: really easy for any of the main componentsBraking: disc brakes work greatFront light: strong and visible for fast night ridingRear basket: easy to install and solid ( I have my old back pack secured to it for storing my helmet, safety gear, cable lock and charger)Handle bar: really like how it can be adjusted to accommodate how you hold itThrottle: works great and no issues. On a test run it was open all the way and the e-scooter did 16 mph per my iPhoneFoot board: wide and comfortableBATTERY: outstanding!!! Holds the charge really well; charging is 2-4 hours depending on when you decide to charge the battery. At 3-bars it takes about two hours; at 2-bars about 4 hoursThis battery holds the charge really good! (My other e-scooter went from 4 bars to 2 within 3/4 miles!)Now some design areas I don’t like:1. Folding the handle bar down for storageThis must be a standard e-scooter design because my other scooter was identical. You release the clip and pull out the release tab and the handle bar folds down between the bike seat area. My issue is that this process is not always easy. But that maybe due to the design and how it strongly secures the handle bar for riding.2. Portability: this still weighs about 50 pounds! I have an SUV and it does NOT fit sideways! So I have one half of my rear seat down to accommodate storing it in my vehicle. It’s heavy to lift in and out ( I don’t use my car to work just this e-scooter so instead of taking it in and out of my apartment every day I just store it in my vehicle)AND when the handle bar is in the folded position for storage then the front wheel is at about a 45 degree angle which makes it difficult to slide into my vehicle! So anyone who states in a review that this is “easy “ to store is misleading!!! It will fold down and store in an SUV BUT not sideways; not easily; and not without being a person with a fair amount of strength! Now who’s using this e-scooter:Well, for one I have never rainy type of scooter; only a bike many many years ago!I am 74I go to the gym 4-5 times weeklyI use this 5 times a week to go to work; which is about half mile round tripI leave work at night so it’s darkI do walk it across the main highwayI ride it to work and back on a side road and sidewalk areaMostly, I don’t full throttleAnd I learned a valuable lesson: safety gear is imperative!I did fall with that other scooter and banged my head; scraped elbow really bad; banged my knee; and had the handle bar bruise my ribs really bad! Now it’s safety gear on before key on!So this is a true, non-paid, customer assessment of this product! So basically, I spent about $100 for comfort and safety fixes so keep that in mind when looking at what e-scooter you may want to consider purchasing.I’m happy with this product but I’m also only using it for a half mile a day. If you intend to use it for a longer ride then I have given you food for thought.

So far - GREAT updating with 1 more star!
(July/28/2023) I bought this scooter about two weeks ago. I believe I have received a refurbished product reason is that the paint looked like it was over painted a blue one, however, everything else looks great, it has a front light which is very high and far reaching, flashing a driver's face coming in front of me is the only worry about that.I was able to fully charge the scooter in three hours and it has 4 bars display to show you what is left, I normally lets it reach two bars (2 lines), and re-charge it again. What did I get done by then? I would say about an hour drive. Four times of running with my dogs.. (10-15 min each), only once I started a ride with 2 bars and had to come back because it completely went out of power after 10 min.Speed, I don't know what's the highest speed it reaches, but I can tell you my dogs are tired after 15 minutes of run so I'm guessing 12- 15 miles an hour is not that far from reality.I also love that the space where you place your feet is really wide, what allows me to have my dogs come up and sit and rest while I slow ride back home. I got this scooter to help me run with my dogs, I'm still working on training them to run on my side, stop when a car is approaching from a distance, slow walk when ppl around, and stay on the same side while running, it has been two weeks and it demands 120% focus, it's not a relaxing exercise since it's dangerous. However, I do like the idea. My dogs LOVE it, they got used to it so fast it's amazing.I also start using it for work, as I manage a place on a 20,000 sqft I get a lot more done not carrying heavy things or getting tired by walking everywhere. I wish the tires were tubless. I also ordered a front basket from ebay the cheapest I found was $17 and will arrive in two weeks. I will update more later.August 15, 2023 about a month later, I'm very happy I bought it. I updated some of the text above since I've solved some issues I didn't know how to before and gave it an extra star.

Perfect for short trips on flat, smooth terrain
The media could not be loaded. Casual scooter. Not good on hills. No shocks/suspension. Handles riders near top of weight range, but reduced range and speed. Lots of real estate for customizationIt's a good scooter that goes with gentle acceleration at a gentle speed. It's slowish to acceleration but it's not a bad thing and you kick off by habit anyway. There are no shocks though, and quite frankly, if I knew about the GoTrax flex, I would have gotten that scooter instead of this scooter. It's basically the same design with a better seat and shocks in the backThat being said, I did add a suspension seat post, a better seat, foot pegs, and a bunch of lights, cup holders and an extra basket to it, along with other little things.I'm already a heavier rider near the max weight limit so the real range is half of what is implied, realistically 9 to 10 miles. And the speed tops out at 11 or 12 mph. Again that's for heavier riders- but it handles my weight and all the extra crap I put on it quite well. A cruiser for sureThat being said, It is not good on hills. Anything more than like a 20° incline and this thing struggles if you don't have speed. Charging the scooter is 5 hours as stated.I have a relatively short distance to work on flat land with a bike path that's away from traffic so it's perfect for me and my needs. If you have a longer commute to work with varied terrain, I would look into more premium seated E-scooters. This is a very casual cruiser type e-scooter4/5 due to how useful the thing is to me personally for the priceBut again I would look into the GoTrax flex before committing to this scooter though. I wish I knew about it before purchasing the phantomgogo, as both are on sale for around the same price when I purchased
