Mouth Tape for Sleeping, Sleep Mouth Strips for Advanced Gentle Mouth Tape to Prevent Mouth Breathing, Tape Closed Mouth to Stop Snoring

I found this after reading a book about breathing, and the author recommended putting tape on your lips to help you breathe through your nose. I started using it with my CPAP and my apnea/hypopnea score went down to almost "0". This has been consistent for at least a year. I told my pulmonologist that he should recommend this to all his patients. My husband started using it and his snoring is almost non-existent - even during the summer months, when we have our windows open! The product is simple, and nicely manufactured, sticky enough but not too much.

Before I started using these strips with my apnea machine I was having too many episodes during the night. The doctor wanted me to switch to a full mask which I didn’t want. After the doctor seen the improvement in my apnea report he was surprised because he never heard of this taping. I think he would recommend to other patients too.

I bought these strips as a first attempt to control my mouth breathing. They work ok and did help. Later I found strips that are just rectangular strips of adhesive and they work better. These strips do not stick as well and I could reuse them once, occasionally twice but the other brand can be reused at least 4 times. Also these strips tended to bother my nose and occasionally my chin as they extend above and below the mouth. Additionally, since they don't cover the entire mouth, air can sneak in and out around the X. I haven't used them since I bought the rectangular strips.

I used to sleep with my mouth open. This product is pretty effective in closing my mouth during sleep.I have plenty of beard, and I was a bit worried if it will stick on my beard and cause pain or has little adhesion. But it seems this product works so well in both adhesions and not hurt my beard and skin. So I would definitely repurchase it.

I don’t know if this product is old and that’s why it doesn't hold or what. This is the first tape I’ve tried, it doesn’t hold. Seems the humidity of your breath just causes it to let go... dunno, I’m guessing.

I'm really amazed that Amazon would sell or vendor this product. When it arrived, I almost threw it away because there isn't a word of English on the package. The entire package - every single character - is in some kind of Asian language. I assume it is Chinese. It sat on my counter for a week, because I couldn't see the ingredients list, and I'm not about to sleep for 8 hours with something on my lips, going into my body, without knowing what its made of. I decided to try it to see if this concept of mouth tape works. THIS one does not. I've used 4 tapes. They don't stay on. They don't stay on right after you put them on! The longest I've had one stick is for 2 hours. And I sleep on my back and on my side. I don't touch my mouth. Don't buy this inexpensive product. IMO.

I used to doubt its adhesiveness but the reality is they really attached the whole night. I bought for my son and hopefully it will help his snoring and jaw healthy growth.
