I've bought many replacement LEDs for incandescent map lights on my cars. They always have down facing LEDs and they're too bright. You can't use them while driving because they're so bright you can't see out the windshield & that's a safety hazard. These have no down facing LEDs & only 2 chips each. A 1:1 size of incandescents so they fit perfectly. They're perfect for map lights. It's about time manufacturers realize brighter isn't always better.

Update! 2 years later...These led bulbs are by far the best of what I've tried. I've gone with an "updated" version which had 3 directions, but they flickered lightly, pulling too much power. These are just perfect bright white light, not draining your power capabilities. I need to buy another pack, they are very decent for interior lighting. The ones over my license plate seemed to go out quicker than the interior ones, I'm sure due to the hard slam of my 2004 trunk. I appreciate having purchased these from the start, they set the bar for a good LED light. 👍Awesome in my '04 Honda Civic Ex.See my attached photo for original bulb on left and two new LED installed in middle and right.Very clean bright white light. Bought these for various replacements on my 2002 Nissan Xterra. I've replaced one of the side marker lights that was out and the license plate lights as well. They are significantly brighter than the oem lights. Hopefully these will last a long a time, but for the price and quantity I consider them a bargain. I believe these also will work as replacements for the tails lights as well.

Installation was easy, brightness is great.....Just wished they lasted longer.(2) lasted only 5 months, one was so dim it was appeared off, the other started to flicker with no resolution other than to pull it.Hoping the others (bought the pack of 10) last longer than 5 months.

Fit perfectly, looks brighter and fast delivery

Very small and powerful bulbs, bought a pack of them to use and am not disappointed in them at all. They fit in every application I've used so far and perform very well. They don't flash like some other units after a extended use of them. They perform very well.

2012 VW JSW TDI replaced the license plate bulbs with these because they are supposed to be "canbus error free". It immediately threw a code for low voltage, which makes me happy that the system works but not happy that the cluster warning light is on. With that said, these bulbs are far brighter than the stock bulbs.*NOT ERROR FREE*

These LED lights work great. The increase in brightness is welcome and the light is nice and white. After replacing my burnt out license plate light and changing the other so they match, I had enough in the package to replace my trunk light, and both dome lights and all 4 map/reading lights with great results on those also. Lucky for me they all take the same size bulb. I would definitely recommend.

Originally bought for my 2005 Honda CRV. Changed my interior lighting great. My CRV Broke down so I removed them and now have them in my 2017 GMC Terrain. The only issue I had was when I put them in my license plate lights. they went dim and thought they died but I threw them on the interior lights and they still worked.

Works anywhere you need a 194 bulb replacement. Very bright and draws less than half the current

The pros:- Super easy install- Really bright LEDsThe cons:- Burn out quicklyI had them on as license plate lights, they worked great but would eventually burn out. I've gone through the pack in a span of 3 months.

The media could not be loaded. The lights themselves are easy to install, and look great! Nice and bright for sure.Unfortunately, the little chips run very hot - too hot to touch - and started to flicker and burn-out after ~17months of use. Really annoying, as now I have to remove car trim, bumpers, brackets & lamps to replace them with something else :/

Initial impressions were that these bulbs are surprisingly tiny. I purchased them to replace two burnt out license plate bulbs, but since they also fit in the front dome light and front step light locations those were swapped out as well. They fit with no fuss and pump out a lot more light than prior. I feel that anything larger with more LEDs would simply be overkill.
