I would not buy this again
I was not impressed with this gum at all! The flavour lasts 30 seconds and the consistency is really weird after a few minutes.

Xylichew black licorice
Husband is diabetic and so we avoid sugar, etc... xylitol is supposed to be good for your teeth. Good news, it contains NO aspartame. The only disappointment is that the flavor doesn't last longer than maybe 10 minutes. So he is disappointed by that. Beyond that, it says the black licorice flavor is very good. It is a very small jar too. I think a bit spendy. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved). Those numbers used to fluctuate over time - up and down but I noticed that they stopped updating regularly - perhaps to phase them out. I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - nearly 6,000 reviews posted, viewed over 50,000 times, and over 24,000 likes.

It desolves and turns to paste.
It literally is mush - flavor is great but it is not chewing gum . It stuck to my teeth , and it wouldnt even hold together ! When i took it out - it was like the consistency of watered down penut butter , i could smear it without it holding together - at all ! ! !How can this company advertise it as chewing gum ? So disappointed !

Contains "natural anise flavor"
Used in hopes of ameliorating GERD symptoms, although effectiveness in this regard has not been observed. A single piece lasts about minute of chewing. Tastes OK if you like black licorice.
