Some capsules fail
Not sure why but I find some of the nespresso capsules are not working properly with this machine. It's adding up to be quite a bit of money. Also way louder and bigger than I expected it to be.

Not as good as I was expecting
I had this idea that the Nespresso was the high quality version of a Keurig or a Tassimo. Are the coffees good? Yes. Do they have a good selection? Yeah not bad. Simple to use? Sort of? Those points alone would put it at 4 stars for me. I don't think any of those points are too detrimental to the product.What lowers the score for me are three things. First, it leaks water from some point near the top that drops down and also somewhere around the bottom. Everyday I have to dry a collected pool of water underneath and around it. Pretty irritating. Not what I imagine a high quality product would do. Second, the slide lock mechanism feels like you are breaking/forcing it across. Doesn't have a pleasant feel to it and honestly, I still don't know if it's causing it issues. Lastly, connection to the app is by far the worst type of connection I have ever seen. I'm a gadget person in a tech job and I have never seen such a poor process and experience in trying to connect a device to Bluetooth and to WiFi. It makes no sense why they have made it so difficult and broken. It doesn't work. Don't believe me? Just try googling Nespresso connection issues and you will find what I'm talking about. Part of their issue is trying to use the slider and the one button to trigger many different actions for the machine that even the combination to start the Bluetooth pairing process feels wrong. Then once you are finally connect to Bluetooth, sorry, IF you finally connect to Bluetooth (I say if because it doesn't connect the majority of the time and part of the troubleshooting is to factory reset the Nespresso and also log out of your account, clear the cache and data from the app and reinstall the app) you can start the wifi connection process. This is now where you select the WiFi ssid and type in your password, which then creates a long loading process. Oh, forgot to mention that you have a timer to do the Bluetooth and wifi connection before the Nespresso turns off and you have to try again. That's right, of the setup process takes too long, it just shuts off and you lose everything. I never got it to connect to wifi (yes, the router is 7 feet away from the machine so it is close to the access point), and I never got it to auto connect to Bluetooth once I finally got the Bluetooth paired. Don't even bother trying to pair the thing to the app.Anyway, if you don't care about Bluetooth/wifi and paying for a device priced like it has those features, then I would say this is a 3.5 stat device. The leaking and slider feel lower it in my opinion.

My first Nespresso machine and I will never buy anything else. I have always been a Keurig girl but I noticed over time my Keurigs stopped working. When my last one was starting to go I decided to try a Nespresso, for the hype and also for the slim machine for storage… didn’t disappoint. I use it every day and I am just as obsessed with it as I was on day one.

Disappointed
Boy did I ever get swayed by their commercials. I enjoy large coffees in the morning. You’re offered a huge selection of 7 oz pods and a couple of 14 oz and I think 2 at 12 with one out of stock. The unit itself has twice ruined 14 oz coffees by terminating at midpoint shutting completely off with no power. Called and went through the motions of calling running through a cleaning cycle etc etc etc. The coffee itself is not hot. After a sip or two it has to go in the microwave to heat up. They make their money off the pods and I find I just don’t want to go through the effort of using it with so many unknowns. Not a fan. I usually question purchasing something from Amazon when the 1 star ratings are 10%…should have stuck with that logic.
