I enjoyed building it with my eight-year-old grandson. Conceptually, he understood the directions and saw how to put it together, but his fingers weren't quite strong enough to push the little tube connectors into the pieces. The good thing though is that the finished robot is pretty strong. The pieces stay together; it's not flimsy after it's built.We had one little issue that might have been our fault, but Sillbird was very accommodating. One of the wires for one of the eyes was broken when we got to that step. By then, we'd had the kit for a couple of months, and the box had been open and accessible to both of my rambunctious grandsons for several weeks. No matter what, we needed the eye to finish the project, so I reached out to Sillbird about getting a replacement. I was up front about the situation - I couldn't be sure if the kids damaged it after we got it or if it was already broken in the box. Sillbird gave me the benefit of the doubt and sent a new eye, free of charge.It's a good, durable product that my grandson still plays with after it's built, Sillbird was amazing to deal with on the part replacement.
