Fun RC Helicopter
I bought this RC helicopter as a birthday gift for my friend's grandson, he loves it. The controls are straightforward, and the altitude hold feature is fantastic. It hovers steadily, which is great for beginners. It’s been through a few bumping roads, and it’s still going strong. The materials seem sturdy and kid-friendly.The lights add a cool factor, especially when flying it in dimmer settings. The 40+ minutes of flight time is impressive. It comes with two batteries, so there’s plenty of playtime. It’s lightweight and designed with younger users in mind, making it a great gift for him that just turned 10 years old.Overall, it’s a fantastic RC helicopter for kids aged 8-12. My kid has had hours of fun with it, and I’d recommend it to any parent looking for an engaging, durable, and beginner-friendly toy. Definitely worth the purchase!

OK at best
Beware if using this outside, it gets pushed away with the slightest breeze. The "forward" is painfully slow, the speed is about half of a crawling baby so even with a tiny breeze you can't regain lost ground. But the altitude controls are easy and it spins direction like it should, so maybe this is a better toy to use inside. My kids picked up on the controls easily and manage better than with a 4 rotor drone.

Great for a beginner pilot
This is a good fun helicopter for anyone who is a beginner. I especially love that it has lights on it because it makes it feel more realistic. It is very lightweight so it does take off and maneuver quite easily. The materials are decent for the price. It can take small crash and burns since it's so lightweight. But you don't want to be working this in high winds, it isn't designed to withstand a lot of wind. For beginners, it's great that it has a hover feature. A lot of the unknown is just getting it up in the air and moving it around. So if you can launch it and then hover it gives you some time to reset and learn how to maneuver it easier. It's very functional and a good quality for the price. It is fun and a new experience for most kids and that alone makes it a super fun gift.

Look away
This thing launches, but steering is atrocious. I've flown my share of drones and RC helicopters, and this thing is just a big disappointment. My 8yo was super bummed. While the battery packs look nice, they're just a LiPo with a plastic cage around them. Use a charging bag at least. Or just don't buy this. You'll find something better, I assure you.

Fun but lacking power
I have experience flying other remote controlled helicopters, sometimes it even takes a day or so before the awaited crash comes….LOL…and another one bites the dust. So being a glutton for punishment I figured why not give this one a shot. First thing I noticed when I unboxed it was the realistic looks, yes dosent help much with performance but one tends to look cooler crashing a good looking chopper. So after charging the batteries and maybe a minute or two looking over the instructions I went for it. Instead of an immediate crash into a wall, ceiling or a poor pet I had it hovering like a pro. Well the controller did, the auto takeoff works pretty smoothly, making me look good at this. The auto landing? Yeah that looked like me, HINT-when hitting the auto land function make sure your pretty close to landing as it is, or it becomes an auto crash landing function. So with that behind me back up we went and tried flying it around. The controls respond promptly to inputs and within a few minutes I was able to do some maneuvering around the living room, somewhat. The power displayed by this unit will not be the feature one buys this for, as for using outdoors, if there’s the slightest of winds present, I wouldn’t. So with all that the only thing I can say is not the best is the battery life, think I got about 10 minutes tops then battery life forced a auto landing, remember that thing I mentioned about how high up you should be before you try it?. Well the chopper itself wrongfully thought it could do better,I can say that it can crash and bounce off the floor without any noticeable harm. So if your looking for a simple to use chopper to drive the pets nuts look no futher.

Great little starter helicopter
There have been a bunch of these little copters come out in the last few years. I've had several and it's great fun! They get better and better and cheaper and cheaper. These models with two counter rotating blades are very stable. This one has several nice features, like altitude hold, that make it easy to learn. They include the USB charge cable, two rechargeable batteries and extra parts. I've crashed it a few times and have yet to break any part of it. I suggest you read the instructions carefully. There are buttons on the remote with no label and you'll want to know what's what. Once airbourne you can go up down and rotate left/right. This is not like single bladed helicopters but it will help you, or your new pilot, get the hang of it. RC flight is great fun and sharing it with you family and friends is fun too.Try not to fly outdoors! A very small breeze will carry it away. This is normal for models of this type and size. The blades are not very sharp but they will cut you in some cases an could easily hurt an eye. Keep it several feet in front of you. For about $39 you can afford to have this fun!
