Best flat iron ever! We bought one of these a few years ago from the recommendation of my hair dresser, it’s still going strong and working amazingly! This is our 3rd purchase of this flat iron because we’ve have so many friends and family who are always wanting to use them. It’s the only flat iron that quickly flattens the hair without damaging it, frizzing the ends, or causing static. We never have to go over the same section of hair more than once (not even on super curly hair) It’s super quick to flat iron very long hair too and the hair stays flat for days! Living in Florida we never have to worry about our hair frizzing or recurling due to the humidity either, this is the only flat iron that I have found that can tame “humidity hair” completely. We love that it has an adjustable heat setting which goes even higher than the temperatures you see on expensive salon irons and it heats up fully in seconds. It comes with heat resistant mat to lay your iron on so I don’t have to worry about burning my counter tops or wooden vanity when it’s sitting on the mat. We also have been able to curl our hair or make “beach waves” with this iron. I will suggest that before you use this for the first time that you put it on the maximum heat setting and leave it on for about 20 minutes as this helps to remove the “coating”, if you don’t that “coating” tends to collect hair products and creates a film/residue which then the residue starts to burn and create a funky odor.

I have been using this straightener for the past two months now and I must say that the quality of the item is superb!I have curly boy short hair so I decided to got with the 1 inch model. This straightener heats up in seconds and delivers smooth, clean strokes that have your hair sleek and shiny in minutes! I used to use the old cheap twenty dollar hair straighteners and finally decided to invest in a professional and this unit just blew me away. It cut my straightening time in half and it held throughout the day even in high humidity level days. The only problems that I do have with this unit is that it is made out of plastic which makes it seem cheaper than it is and the black glossy plastic tends to attract fingerprints. I love the one inch straightener and eve after two month's of use, it has yet to let me down and still works like the first time that I used it. Of course, one is better off with the bigger straightener with people with short hair, but this unit can work for longer hair too but might take a little longer. My sister who has outrageously wild hair can tame the mop by using this straightener. Even better, after she is done using it, her hair looks healthier than it did without straightening. This is a superb straightener at a good price. If you want to have straighter hair that lasts, go with the Rusk Professional hair straightener. *Unfortunately the last couple of seconds of the video got cut off because of the file size but I basically said that the glossy plastic attracts fingerprints.

I bought this in February of 2017, and it is on the blink. I turn it on, and it goes off immediately. Also, I owned the babyliss pro as well, not a big enough difference in quality if your considering switching. Look elsewhere, this is a cheapo product at a premium price. Matter of fact, I had a Revlon straightener that was comparable to this product. The Revlon product was better because it is still working, and I only paid 20 bucks.

I purchased this after my last RUSK CTC straightener died after 8 years (maybe even longer). It heats up quickly, doesn’t snag my hair and gets the job done with few passes. I have thick combo hair. It has sections that are curly, wavy AND sections that are straight. Can straighten it all in about 2 minutes or less with this. Cons: The cord twists up very easily and is really long. I had this same issue with the first one I had. It the end of the world but annoying for sure. Also, my first one ended up getting to a point where it would just shut off during use (after several years of use) but I see that is a common review on here so I’m hoping I will get several years out of this one too. Last... I wish this had auto shut off after an hour. I’ve come home and found that I forgot to shut this off and it will still be at 430 degrees after 8 hrs which is pretty scary. Going to hook it up to a smart plug moving forward but if you are forgetful just know this will not auto shut off.

I was recommended this straightener by a friend with similar hair type: frizzy, wavy, big. I had used the GHD straightener before but was needing a replacement and did not want to spend $180. Overall, this straightener was a good value. It does the job, makes it as smooth as it can get, and I like the fast heat up time and personalized temperature settings. I would recommend this.

I bought this straightener after about 2 weeks of contemplation. I have an older Rusk that I bought at TJMaxx about 5 years ago - it still works, but the control buttons were starting to go out and I didn't want to be up the creek without one. I thought my old Rusk was amazing - this one blew it out of the water. The Titanium infused does wonders for making the straightener glide through your hair. What took me about 15 minutes to straighten with my old one takes me 6 minutes now. It's also significantly smaller than my old one was. The price was a little daunting at first, but I'm glad I went out for it in the end. I saw in a post someone talking about there being no memory setting - for the one inch, there is a memory button. It also does indicate to you if it is completely heated up. The numbers count up and show you its current temperature [so no red light, but if its showing 430 and is steady, its at 430]. Mine came with a heat pad to put on the counter to use it with, which is really nice for how warm it gets. Love the straightener. No problems as of yet.

I purchased this flat iron in place of my Hot Tools brands, b/c the electric device continued to short-out on the Hot Tools brands. My hairdresser also recommended this brand. So, I spent a chunk MORE on this iron (about $70-80 vs hot tools 50) to have it last longer. It does work very well, heats within seconds, and leaves my hair smooth, doesn't "catch" or pull at my hair at all (and I have very thick, tends to be coarse, hair). Well, it lasted exactly 18 months, and unfortunately, the warranty is only 1 year. The electric device malfunctioned, and it would only read "102" degrees, but wouldn't actually heat at all. After 3 separate calls to Rusk Customer Service (also referred to as "Cuisinart" when I called - very nice to know that they are specializing in my concern with their hair products, geez), I basically got NO help, and sorry about your luck. WELL, I will NOT be purchasing this item, or any of their other items, from this company again. I highly value customer service, and it was a joke in this case. A one-year warranty is simply foolish for this type of item, I have now purchased a different brand with HIGHER reviews and less cost, which carries a 3 year warranty. In my opinion, DONT BUY if you aren't willing to have it break with you being out of luck. :/

This flat iron is amazing for my curly/wavy/thick combo hair. It has literally cut the time I do my hair in half and my hair looks BETTER and healthier than with any other iron I have used. (and I've been through quite a few.) I have heard of difficulties with the heating element blowing if you leave it on for too long so just remember to unplug when you're done... I haven't had a problem yet though. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE and reccomend this to anyone!

I have had sedu and solia straightners which i still have the solia one where I live in Toronto but wanted one at my parents place for when i visit which is almost every month and I hate lugging things. So i read the reviews a decided to give it a try. Glad i did it works just as good as my solia. I have thick naturally wave in my hair and this straightner gets my hair slick straight....love it

Exactly the same as the one I previously bought from my salon but a way better price. Had to exchange for another as the first one that came gave out within a week. But amazon sent me another one within a few days, and I've had it for 2 years no problems at all.

Received the product and it was NOTHING like the original rusk I use to buy at Sally's. the straightener came in a different box (so the picture on the box was a different type of straightener but same "company"). Was told this is BRAND NEW, so I don't see how or why the straighter I ordered was in a different box. This straightener was also suppose to go up to 450 degrees, it only went up to 230.... not satisfied. At all

Super fast shipping (much faster than expected, only 2 days!), and the product works fantastic. I had a Aventi flat iron before getting the Rusk, and this one heats up MUCH faster (under 15 seconds to 450 degrees), it's digital, the cord is longer and it works great, even better than my Aventi. I would highly recommend!

Best hair straightener I've ever had, this is perfect for straightening, and even doing curls since it's so thin. I absolutely love it, it's very quick to heat.
