Hiatt does it again
If you have discovered Mr Hiatt through his other albums and like what you've heard you will not be disappointed. This is a thoughtful almost introspective overview of acoustic delta blues redefined through his unique lens - it's an excellent album and repays repeated plays. While I find some of John Hiatt's albums bombastic this is a beautiful, at times funny and tender piece of work - I recommend it highly.

One of his best
Love the man. Great songs despite the gravelly voice and super mandolin playing.

Buy this!
I had bought John Hiatt's latest offering on spec never having heard of him (Duh! - just the 16 studio albums??) having heard one track thougt it was great. This largely accoustic offering is even better. It's not country, not blues, not folk, not blues grass - but the best of each rolled up in a unique style. Love it!
