i have a small culinary education and the thing i absolutely hated the most (and would hire my friends to do for me) is sharpen my knives! it’s important and makes a world of difference in your knives performance, but the angles and the precision you have to get can be daunting and makes me put it off, i’m an over corrector so i know im not getting the proper 15 degree angle.this was obviously easy to use, aligning the blade and the running the grit along was easier than any other method! the key for sharpening is still repetition. starting at 12 easy side of the blade and then 11 then 10… you get the idea. other wise you’ll feel as though no progress is made, but the instructions and the dummy proof nature of this really made the task less strenuous than it has been in the past!

I have never used this kind of sharpener prior to this point and must say that it is a rather refreshing take on the practice. It comes with all the tools needed to ensure the sharpest of blades are had. Even with instructions however, there is a bit of a learning curve in order to correctly maintain your metal. The rolling action itself felt familiar although not something I can admit to having mastered as of yet. The block you hold your knife against is magnetic and that helps when trying to find the correct angle and position to sharpen both sides.

I dont know yet. Knives get k8nda sharp.....and depending upon the shape and length of the knife not easily sharpened in this manner.

I purchased this sharpener to keep kitchen knives sharp. Works well if you follow the directions.

The end result is a sharpened knife indeed, though depending on your skills with manipulating objects, it may be a learning curve to get the best results and feel comfortable executing the sharpening action. The design is clever, convenient and ergonomic, and I don't worry about beating the knife up as I sometimes do with a honing rod. The unit itself is solid and built well, though I wonder what kind of replacement options there are once the abrasive sharpener dulls over time. Having said that, perhaps investing in another unit isn't an impedance, given the relatively affordable price.

Very easy to use, instructions are really clear even if you've never used this kind of sharpener before. A more satisfying experience than other knife sharpeners we've used in the past. Gives a nice sharp edge, has 2 different angles and can be used for all knife sizes. Would choose this over any other knife sharpener we've had before.
