This is a good quality serum that leaves my face smooth. The serum is a bit heavy and was a small challenge to get out of one of the bottles. Moisturizing with a nice smell.

Really good retinol serum from Tru Alchemy. You get a 2 pack with this set, and it really works at alleviating wrinkles on the fave. Love that it has bakuchiol which is more gentle on the face.

Listing is a little confusing. Title and description says "1 fl oz" and doesn't say how many bottles, but first picture shows 2 bottles. I did get two bottles!I used this a few days in a row. I know I wont see improvements unless I continuously use it for a few months but I can happily say it didn't irritate my skin at all. I tend to have oily dry skin. Felt nice going on (not super think but not watery), absorbed fast and didn't leave my skin feeling oily.I like that this retinol includes ingredients to help moisturize and calm skin - especially since retinols can irritate skin.

So far I am liking this retinol two pack. The bottles are super expensive looking and the droppers work well. So far I have noticed no sensitivity using this product.I find a few things interesting about this retinol as opposed to others. First, the consistency is more of a thin lotion than a clear gel or serum. Second, the company was clear and open in their description on how to use the product. Many brands will try to get you to use the product twice a day immediately not being open and honest about how to safely start using retinol. If you haven’t researched it you may not know users new to retinol need to slowly work up to using it nightly. This brand gives you the run down rather than just negligently trying to get you to use as much product as possible so you have to buy more.At the end of the day, I have enjoyed using the product and have put it into regular rotation. So far there’s been no sensitivity or adverse affects as I’m slowly working my way toward every night again. The only thing I will say is that at about $50/bottle I’m not certain it’s an excellent value, however this is about on par with a decent retinol price. Would recommend.

Vitamin A derivatives (like retinol, retinal, retinyl aldehyde or even retinoic acid in prescription oinment) is to go ingredient for wrinkle, fine lines, acne and pores. I have been proven to be effective for long, I mean literally well over 30 years. We always look for exotic ingredients but always comes back to this good old friend. The Tru Alchemy actually made this well, and let's talk about this product in-depth.Ingredients:It's based with water, and some fatty acid based solvents, and squalene. Bakuchiol ("plant-based retinol" alternative) and retinol are both inside in the formula and they generously added HA, B3 and many- literally many ingredients. It used phenoxyethanol as preservative, and citral & limonene is added as fragrance. It's sophiticatedly formulaed yet when you consider the price, it's gotta be.Texture:Due to the squalene and some fatty acid base and some other water soluble ingredients, it has perfect balance between water and oil. It abosrbs quick, and doesn't leave any sticky layer. If you have dry skin, you will definitely need additional moisturizer after this but many have skin care routine with multiple products anyway. It is definitely less irritational than others but it doesn't let you know the concentration of the retinol so it's difficult to know how strong the retinol is. I believe this is more suitable for sensitive skinned audience rather than people like me. (I prefer <2.0% concentration, so I have slight tingling sensation so that I know something is working on my skin.)Effectiveness:It DOES work well. During the testing period, I stopped my 2.5% retinol from Cos de BAHA and used this for 2 weeks and I felt less irritational and still kind of effective. My skin felt moisturized, and fine lines are definitely less visible with this.Final Thought:If you can endure stronger retinol, then you have loads of products which are chepaer and equally effecitve ones. But this serum is well formulated, so that it irritates the skin much less, also contains other active ingredients. So if you are willing to pay extra for your precious skin, then I highly recommend this product.
